The vibration sensors (48, 50) are configured to detect vibrations emitted by the bearings (14, 16). The speed sensor (52) is configured to measure the rotational speed of the bearings (14, 16). The controller (34) is configured to electronically communicate with the vibration sensors (48, 50) and the speed sensor (52) and calculate a health status of the bearings (14, 16). The split spacer (46) includes two portions (56, 58) that define a cavity (60) configured to abut the shaft (54) so as to allow the vibration sensors (48, 50) to be disposed inside the split spacer (46) and next to the one or more bearings (14, 16).

The apparatus includes a bed on which material is conveyed, a longitudinal counterbalance supported on a plurality of isolation springs, a plurality of inclined drive springs extending between the bed and the longitudinal counterbalance, and a plurality of stabilizers for controlling movement of the drive springs along their central axes. A plurality of vibratory motors, each having rotatable eccentric weights are attached to the rear end of the longitudinal counterbalance. The eccentric weights rotate in phase with one another to vibrate the bed at a vibration frequency.

Disclosed are novel engineered fuel feed stocks, feed stocks produced by the described processes, methods of making the fuel feed stocks, methods of producing energy from the fuel feed stocks. Components derived from processed MSW waste streams can be used to make such feed stocks which are substantially free of glass, metals, grit and noncombustibles and contain a sorbent. These feed stocks are useful for a variety of purposes including as gasification and combustion fuels. In addition, one or more sorbents can be added to the feed stocks in order to reduce the amount of a variety of pollutants present in traditional fuel and feed stocks, including, but not limited, sulfur and chlorine. Further, these feed stocks with added sorbent can mitigate corrosion, improve fuel conversion, extend power generating plant lifetime, reduce ash slagging, and reduced operating temperature.
