Abstract:
A method and system for starting and operating an electrically driven load, e.g. a compressor or pump, by power supply from a mechanical driver, e.g. a turbine or combustion engine, whereby the load is mechanically connected to a first electrical machine, and the mechanical driver is mechanically connected to a second electrical machine. The first electrical machine is electrically interconnected to the second electrical machine at a standstill or when the first and or second machine have low speed. In an acceleration phase, the first electrical machine is accelerated by accelerating the second electrical machine with the mechanical driver. When the first electrical machine has reached a predefined rotational speed, the first machine is synchronized with a local electrical power network and connected it to that network.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a telecommunications equipment, a power supply system, and a power supply implementation method, which relate to the communications field and resolve both a problem of a waste of power supply resources and a problem of an increase in power supply costs. A specific solution is that: the telecommunications equipment includes at least one fixed power distribution unit, at least one fixed configuration unit, at least one variable power supply unit, and at least one variable configuration unit, where the fixed power distribution unit is corresponding to the fixed configuration unit located in a same section, and an input end of each fixed configuration unit of the at least one fixed configuration unit is connected to an output end of a corresponding fixed power distribution unit; output ends of all the variable power supply units are connected, and an input end of each variable configuration unit of the at least one variable configuration unit is connected to an output end of the variable power supply unit; and the fixed power distribution unit provides power supply to the fixed configuration unit located in the same section, and the variable power supply unit provides power supply to the variable configuration unit. The present invention applies to a power supply process of a telecommunications equipment.

In order to assure drive of a drive motor, a boost operation of a boost device is appropriately performed by judging whether a voltage supplied from a fuel cell suffices a voltage required for driving the drive motor, thereby suppressing a switching loss by the boost device. A fuel cell system is a power source for driving a load. The system includes: a drive motor driven by an electric power; a fuel cell which generates electricity by an electrochemical reaction between an oxidizing gas containing oxygen and a fuel gas containing hydrogen and supplies an electric power to the drive motor; a first boost device which can boosts the voltage outputted from the fuel cell and supplies the boosted voltage to the drive motor; and boost control means which controls voltage boost performed by the first boost device according to the relationship between the fuel cell output voltage and the voltage required by the drive motor.

There is provided a system for supplying power to a site having a load. The system comprises a number n of power source units, the value of n being greater than or equal to 3. The system further comprises a number t≦̸tmax of loads groups, each load group having a number i of inputs. The value of i is greater than or equal to 2 and less than the value of n. Each load group receives power from i power source units, such that each load group is connected to a unique combination of i power source units. tmax is such that every possible combination of i power source units is connected to a unique load group.
