Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of metal detergent, especially to a metal detergent and a preparation method thereof and a lubricant oil containing the metal detergent. The metal detergent provided by the present application is sulfurized calcium alkyl phenolate, the method for preparing the metal detergent includes the following steps: a) mixing alkyl phenol, a calcium source and base oil to obtain a mixed solution; b) mixing the mixed solution, ethylene glycol and a sulfur source to carry out sulfurization reaction to obtain a sulfurization reaction solution; c) implementing carbonation reaction between the sulfurization reaction solution and CO 2 to obtain a carbonation reaction solution; and d) extracting the carbonation reaction solution with a solvent, upon refining, to obtain sulfurized calcium alkyl phenolate; wherein the solvent includes solvent oil, water and oxygenous derivative of hydrocarbon. Experimental results show that the content of free alkyl phenol is below 1.5 wt% in the sulfurized calcium alkyl phenolate prepared using the preparation method provided by the present application.
Abstract:
Disclosed are antiwear hydraulic fluid compositions comprising (a) a major amount of a base oil of lubricating viscosity and (b) a minor amount of at least one oil soluble detergent additive comprising a salt of an alkyl-substituted hydroxybenzoic acid or a sulfurized derivative thereof, wherein said salt is selected from the group consisting of alkali metal salts, alkaline earth metal salts, ammonium salts or substituted ammonium salts, and further wherein said antiwear hydraulic fluid compositions have a Carboxylate Index of greater than levels disclosed herein.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Provided is a lubricating oil composition comprising a base oil for a lubricating oil, (A) a fatty acid partial ester compound, 0.5 to 1.5 % by mass of (B) (b1) an aliphatic amine compound and/or (b2) an acid amide compound, 0.01 to 0.1 % by mass of (C) a specific benzotriazole derivative and a specific amount of (D) a specific succinimide compound. It is a lubricating oil composition of an environmental regulation compliant type which is used for internal combustion engines such as gasoline engines, diesel engines, engines using dimethyl ether for fuel, gas engines and the like, which does not contain Mo base friction reducing agents and is reduced in ash, phosphorus and sulfur and in which a friction reducing effect, an oxidation stability and a corrosion inhibiting effect are enhanced.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a lubricating composition comprising a major amount of an oil of lubricating viscosity and (A) a di or trihydrocarbyl phosphite, (B) at least one reaction product of a di or trihydrocarbyl phosphite and sulfur or a source of sulfur; at least one di or trihydrocarbyl monothiophosphate; or salt thereof, and (C) a salt of a hydrocarbyl phosphoric acid ester. In one embodiment, the lubricant composition contains less than 0.1% phosphorus or less than about 0.75% borated dispersant. This combination of phosphorus compounds provides antiwear and thermal stability to lubricants, even at low phosphorus levels. The lubricating compositions containing the combination of the phosphorus compounds has low corrosivity to copper and low odor as well.
Abstract:
A lubricating oil additive suitable as an extreme pressure/anti-wear additive comprises the product obtainable by reacting at elevated temperature a mixture comprising (i) sulphur, (ii) at least one C₁₀ to C₁₀₀ unsaturated carboxylic acid, or amide or acid salt thereof and (iii) at least one hydrocarbyl-substituted phenol, the amount of (iii) in the mixture being 15 to 65% w/w based on the combined weight of (i) (ii) and (iii). The reaction mixture can further comprise an olefin and/or, a mercaptan and/or a lubricating oil. The additive is also useful as an anti-oxidant. Additive concentrates and lubricating oil compositions comprise a lubricating oil and the additives of the present invention.
