Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate learning of atmospheric pressure without using an atmospheric pressure sensor, in regard to an atmospheric pressure learning device mounted on an automobile having an evaporation fuel treatment system for combustion treatment in an internal combustion engine and an abnormality diagnostic device. SOLUTION: A selector valve 152 for making a canister 46 communicated/shielded with/from the atmosphere is provided on an atmospheric pressure side passage 144c connected to the canister 146. A pressure sensor 154 is mounted inside the passage in the canister 146 side from the selector valve 152, and a pump 156 is arranged so as to introduce negative pressure into inside of the passage. Abnormalities such as fuel leakage are detected, based on a pressure value from the pressure sensor 154 when the pump 156 is driven by closing a solenoid valve 142 for sealing and a solenoid valve 148 for purging and by switching the selector valve 152 to a state where the passage in the canister 146 side is shielded from the atmosphere. When the selector valve 152 is switched to a state where the passage in the canister 146 side communicates with the atmosphere, learning of the atmospheric pressure is performed by using the pressure value from the pressure sensor 154. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform continuity of exhaust gas for HC desorption to an HC adsorbing material layer when starting an engine in an engine warming-up state. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an exhaust system including an HC adsorbing material layer and an exhaust gas purifying catalyst layer having an oxygen holding function. By passing the exhaust gas through the HC adsorbing material layer when starting a cold temperature of the engine, the HC absorbing material layer is made to adsorb HC in the exhaust gas. By passing exhaust gas through the HC adsorbing material layer after warming-up of the engine and the exhaust system, HC adsorbed by the HC adsorbing material layer is desorbed. An HC eliminating operation for the engine exhaust device for a wheel for discharging the desorbed HC by being converted into H2O and CO2 by oxygen held in the exhaust gas purifying catalyst layer is ensured and generation of NOx is suppressed by the exhaust gas purifying catalyst layer when starting the engine after warming-up of the engine.

SOLUTION: A vehicle has an exhaust purifying catalyst having a function for reserving oxygen in an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, temporarily stops the engine when a predetermined temporary stop condition of the engine is satisfied, and temporarily increases fuel for reduction treatment of the exhaust purifying catalyst in restarting the engine. When the reserved oxygen amount of the exhaust purifying catalyst in restarting the engine is not estimated to be within a predetermined range in a fuel cut-off operation, a fuel increasing operation, or the like, fuel increase in the reduction treatment of the catalyst is inaccurate and hazardous gas components may be exhausted in restarting the engine, so that the temporary stop of the engine is prohibited.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wrong determination of a misfire or the like according to the ion current detection result by limiting the combustion state determination of an internal combustion engine based on an ion current according to the current flowing through a motor and a motor control device of a hybrid vehicle. SOLUTION: An electric control unit(ECU) 40 reads a voltage value of an ignition plug 16 part generated by an ion current, and compares the read value with a designated value to conduct the required control operation when a misfire is determined. In the ion current detecting device of a hybrid vehicle, when a large current flows through a motor, noise is generated to have a bad influence to the ion current to cause wrong determination of a misfire. When a misfire determination limiting routine is executed, the noise present is determined when the detection values Im of currents of motors MG1, MG2 are larger than a designated amount, when the change rate (dIm/dt) of the detected current value is larger than a designated value, or when a regenerative control current Irm flows. Thus, it is possibe to prevent wrong determination of the engine combustion state according to the detection of an ion current influenced by noise.
