Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle controller which enables more appropriate setting of a remaining battery life target value.SOLUTION: GPS 71, map information DB 72 and a communication unit 81 of the vehicle controller 1 acquire road information regarding a road whereon a vehicle travels, and hybrid ECU 30 sets the remaining battery life target value which is a target value of the remaining quantity of a battery being a power source for driving the vehicle. Besides, the hybrid ECU 30 predicts operation of a driver of the vehicle, based on the road information which the GPS 71 etc. acquire. Moreover, the hybrid ECU 30 alters the remaining battery life target value set on the basis of the road information, according to the predicted operation of the driver of the vehicle. Therefore, it is possible to set more appropriately the remaining battery life target value, according to the road information regarding the road and the operation of the driver to be performed on the road.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle capable of achieving an improvement in the controllability of each power storage device by taking into consideration temperature variations generated between packs and in respective packs. SOLUTION: In the electric vehicle, a plurality of power storage devices are mounted which are connected in parallel with each other, and converters are installed between the plurality of the power storage devices and motor generators. The plurality of power storage cells constituting the plurality of the power storage devices are housed in first and second power storage packs. The first power storage pack 14 includes a plurality of first and second power storage cells 50-1A and 50-2A. On the vehicle front side and the vehicle rear side, an air intake duct 32 and an air exhaust duct 34 are arranged, respectively. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid increase of odor due to rise of concentration of a sulfur component in the exhaust when recovering SOx poisoning in an exhaust emission control system for an internal combustion engine provided with NOx catalyst. SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control system for an internal combustion engine is provided with the NOx catalyst, a SOx poisoning recovering means for recovering SOx poisoning of the NOx catalyst, a sulfur concentration estimating means for estimating or detecting concentration of a sulfur component in the exhaust flowing from the NOx catalyst when the SOx poisoning recovering means recovers SOx poisoning of the NOx catalyst, and an exhaust flow rate control means for increasing a flow rate of the exhaust flowing into the NOx catalyst as concentration of the sulfur component in the exhaust, which is estimated or detected by the sulfur concentration estimating means, becomes higher. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more properly and quickly start an internal combustion engine while preventing an error in opening a cylinder fuel injection valve at starting the internal combustion engine having the cylinder fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into a cylinder. SOLUTION: An opening/closing timing VVT is delayed and a throttle opening TH is throttled when starting cranking of the engine with small torque Tlow. After fuel pressure Pf to be supplied to the cylinder fuel injection valve gets to a determined value or greater which is greater than pressure such that the valve closing holding pressure of the cylinder fuel injection valve to cylinder compression pressure Pin, the cranking with normal cranking torque Tset and the delay of the opening/closing timing VVT are started, the throttle of the throttle opening TH is cancelled, and fuel injection from the cylinder fuel injection valve is started. Thus, the fuel pressure Pf quickly gets to pressure or greater such that the valve closing holding pressure is added to the cylinder compression pressure Pin and an error in opening the cylinder fuel injection valve is prevented. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of fuel economy by shortening time for performing particulate removing control and sulfur emission control. SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device is equipped with an exhaust emission control means having a filter and a NOx occlusion agent and a reducing agent addition means adding a reducing agent to exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust emission control means. When particulate accumulation amount is increased or sulfur occlusion amount is increased, the particulate removing control for maintaining the temperature of the filter to exceed particulate combustion temperature and controlling an air fuel ratio of exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust emission control means to be lean is performed. Then, after predetermined time passes, the sulfur emission control for maintaining the temperature of the NOx occlusion agent to exceed sulfur emission temperature and controlling the air fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust emission control means to be an approximately theoretical air fuel ratio or rich and the particulate removing control are alternately repeated for a plurality of times. SOLUTION: A learning error Er is calculated by subtracting a sum of a friction torque base value Tb estimated from cooling water temperature THW of the engine at the time and friction torque learning collection value Gf which is precious value (Tc-Tb) under a temperature condition roughly same as cooling water temperature THW from cranking torqye Tc at a time of start of the engine(S106), water temperature learning flow rate Qthw as temperature dependent flow rate depending on cooling water temperature THW in idling rotation retaining flow rate Qisc is renewed (S112-S120) by the learning error Er, and ISCV opening is adjusted by adding the water temperature learning floe rate Qthw to a target idling rotation retaining quantity Qisc* (S122-S126). Consequently, a device can appropriately cope with a case that friction varies right after start of the engine with depending on type of filled lubricating oil, the engine can be stabilized at idling speed. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a starting characteristic changing means of an internal combustion engine for a vehicle having a piston working chamber for working a piston so as to reduce the intake compression ratio when a working fluid is introduced, and requiring the working fluid to be discharged from the piston working chamber when the intake compression ratio is increased to rapidly cope with the operation of increasing the intake compression ratio as required when starting the engine. SOLUTION: The working fluid in the piston working chamber is controlled to be discharged as the internal combustion engine is stopped. The working fluid may be discharged when or after the internal combustion engine is stopped.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly change sure engine operational characteristics and save the power consumption for the operation required for the change by reasonably changing the characteristics by an engine operational characteristic changing means, in changing the characteristics at non-operation of an engine in such a way that the intake compression ratio is increased before the cranking when the engine is in a cold state. SOLUTION: Displacement of the means to a predetermined position is carried out by the control of drive force (the strength of the driving force and its operational time) and next control is corrected based on the result of control.

SOLUTION: The electric vehicle is equipped with a plurality of batteries 10, 30 and runs by driving a motor 18 receiving power from the plurality of batteries 10, 30. If the prohibited battery 30 is set to be used, only the main battery 10 not prohibited is used to drive the motor 18.
