    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a combination to control a retention time of in vivo action of matrix-degrading enzyme.SOLUTION: Provided is use of activatable matrix-degrading enzyme (AMDE) in producing a medicament for subcutaneous administration to treat ECM disease or condition at an amount enough for degradation of a component in an extracellular matrix (ECM) when exposed to an activator. The MADE is a matrix-degrading enzyme which is inactive in the absence of an activator in ECM and the AMDE is active in ECM for a prescribed time when exposed to an activation condition provided by an activator. By using a matrix-degrading enzyme with controlled retention time of the action, ECM-mediated diseases or disorders characterized by increase in deposition or accumulation of one or more ECM components can be treated.
