    Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure stable constant speed running even on a down-hill by providing a change means increasing a gear change ratio when vehicle speed is increased with a throttle valve fully opened whereby prohibiting the change gear ratio from being reduced when the same is increased until the opening of the throttle valve becomes equal to or more than a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:When vehicle speed is increased with a throttle valve M3 fully opened, a change gear ratio is increased by a gear change ratio chnaging means M5. This causes the engine braking of an engine M2 to be sufficiently effected. Then, a gear change reset prohibition means M6 has a transmission M1 prohibited a gear change ratio until the opening of the throttle valve M3 becomes equal to or more than a predetermined value. Therefore, a vehicle keeps up being braked sufficiently even if vehicle speed becomes a predetermined value. This constitution ensures stable constant running even on a down- hill under a high tail wind.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the speed change impact during automatic shift by applying a brake force corresponding to a temporal acceleration upon occurrence thereof when performing gear change of a transmission. CONSTITUTION:A transmission 46 has plural gear stages which are changed automatically when shifting operation is requested. When the gear stages of the transmission 6 are changed, a brake device 20 of vehicle is functioned to suppress the temporal acceleration of vehicle caused by the rotary inertia of engine. Consequently, the variation of the acceleration of vehicle is suppressed thus preventing the speed change impact properly during automatic shift.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a speed change shock by controlling the opening of the second throttle valve provided serially to a throttle valve interlocked with an accelerator pedal in the direction to eliminate the difference between the current drive output of a speed changer and the drive output after a speed change. CONSTITUTION:During an engine operation, the current drive output of a vehicle is first calculated based on the current speed change gear position detected by a gear position sensor 24 and the current engine load determined from the output of an accelerator depression quantity sensor 17. Next, when a speed change is requested, an engine output that makes the drive output of the vehicle at the requested change gear position equal to the said current drive output is calculated, and the opening of the second throttle valve 13 to attain this engine output is determined. The speed change gear is shifted to the requested speed change gear position, and the opening of the second throttle valve 13 is changed to the determined opening value above.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent slip of driving wheels, by increasing a fluid pressure of a fluid pressure brake corresponding to the driving wheels when slip of the driving wheels is detected at starting. CONSTITUTION:A control device 120 is connected with sensors 122 for detecting rotational speeds of front wheels 94, a brake switch 124, a load cell 126 for detecting an operating force of a brake pedal 10, and a sensor 128 for detecting a fluid pressure of wheel cylinders 96. The control deice 120 is also connected with an acceleration opening detector 129, a drive range detecting switch 130 and an idle-up signal generator 132. According to informations supplied from these, the control device 120 controls a fluid pressure of the wheel cylinders 96, and assumes that either of the front or rear wheels having a larger acceleration is slipped to run idly upon rapid starting to operate the fluid pressure brake corresponding to the slipping wheels under an adequate fluid pressure.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To surely carry out braking operation even upon pressure failure, by carrying out braking operation with the use of pressure from a hydraulic source upon normal operation of the hydraulic source, and by carrying out braking operation upon abnormal operation of the hydraulic source such that, with the use of hydraulic pressure generated by depressing force by a foot, a change-over valve is switched to increase the pedal stroke so that braking operation is directly performed by the depressing force. CONSTITUTION:Upon normal operation of hydraulic sources 41, 43 and a hydraulic circuit 44, hydraulic pressure is fed to a booster 2 through a control valve 45. At this time the pressure from a circuit 44'' holds a control valve 49 in its inoperative condition, and a chamber 59 is held in its hydraulically rigid condition. When a pedal 5 is depressed in this consition, the control valve for the booster 2 is opened by means of a rod 3 so that hydraulic pressure is introduced into a pressure chamber to actuate a brake. When the pedal 5 is depressed upon abnormal operation of the hydraulic circuit 44, etc., the control valve 49 is changed over to relieve oil from the chamber 59 so that the hydraulic rigidity is loosed. Therefore, the stroke of a rod 4 is increased, and accordingly, the stroke of the rod 3 is also increased. This stroke causes a piston in a master cylinder 9 to directly actuate to perform braking.
