PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex showing high catalytic activity in a synthesis of polycarbonate and to provide a method for producing polycarbonate using the complex. SOLUTION: The complex is a cobalt-ketoiminate complex expressed by formula (I) or formula (II), wherein at least one of groups represented by R 3 , R 4 and R 5 is a group containing an onium moiety such as ammonium and phosphonium. SOLUTION: The fluorescent cobalamins are provided by comprising fluorescent, phosphorescent, luminescent or light-emitting compounds, covalently bonded with the cobalamin. These fluorescent cobalamins can be used as diagnostic and prognostic markers for (a) distinguishing cancer cells and tissues from healthy cells and tissues, including the identification of lymph nodes containing the cancer cells, and for (b) determining whether an individual body will respond positively to the chemotherapy of using a cobalamin-therapeutic bio-conjugates, or not.
