Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy formation of signal patterns with a board-mounted electrical connector without using a multilayer circuit board, and to achieve excellent transmission characteristics and matching of characteristic impedances of transmission signals in the electrical connector. SOLUTION: The board-mounted electrical connector 1 includes signal contacts 4a, grounding contacts 4b, and an insulative housing 6 for holding the signal contacts 4a and the grounding contacts 4b. At least one pair of signal contacts 4a and a grounding contact 4b corresponding to the pair of signal contacts 4a are arranged in two rows at an engagement portion of the insulative hosing 6. Leg portions 5 of the signal contacts 4a and the grounding contacts 4b to be mounted onto a circuit board are arranged in three rows at positions ranging from those closest to an engagement surface of the insulative housing 6 to those farthest from the engagement surface. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to maintain relatively low fitting holding force through extremely numerous times of insertions and extractions, make it difficult to cause damages due to insertions and extractions of a connector, and prevent appearance of external outlooks from deteriorating in an electric connector assembly, and in a receptacle connector and a plug connector used for it. SOLUTION: The electric connector assembly C is composed of the receptacle connector 1 and the plug connector 100 which are mutually combined. The receptacle connector 1 and the plug connector 100 respectively have lock parts 52, 140 which are mutually locked by the low fitting holding force in fitting. Furthermore, the receptacle connector 1 has a crimping protrusion which becomes a coming-off prevention of the connectors by friction-contacting with the plug connector 100. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC socket set capable of securing flexibility of layout of an electric circuit board. SOLUTION: The IC socket set 1 comprises a package-receiving unit 20 and a package fixed unit 30, combined with this package-receiving unit 20. The package-receiving unit 20 comprises an insulating housing 21 and a contact 22. Since an aperture 311 of a base plate 31 can be inserted and engaged into the insulating housing 21 with the direction rotated by 180°, when the package fixed unit 30 having a switch member 33 is to be combined with the package-receiving unit 20, the direction of one side, having the switching member 33, can be selected from a plurality of directions, regardless of the direction in which the package-receiving unit 20 is connected. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC socket capable of guiding an IC package to a normal position on a mounting surface with good workability for mounting, preventing an electric contact from being buckled or deformed, and stably energizing a guide member upward without increasing a number of components. SOLUTION: In this IC socket 1 equipped with an insulating socket housing 2 to hold a large number of electric contacts 90, a cover plate 8, and a drive member 10 to drive the cover plate 8, a pair of guide rails 58 to guide the IC package 100, and a guide member 6 having a connecting part 60 to mutually connect these guide rails 58 are mounted to the socket housing 2, and a pair of the guide rails 58 and the connecting part 60 each have spring arms 62a to energize the guide member 6 upward from the socket housing 2. The socket housing 2 and the guide member 6 have regulating members 20, 76 to regulate the upward movement of the guide member 6 at the position where the guided IC package 100 is not brought into contact with the electric contacts. SOLUTION: Of the shield type connector 1 provided with a contact 8, an insulation housing 6 housing the contact 8, and a metal shield shell 10 covering an outer periphery of the insulation housing 6 and having a joint on one face of the insulation housing 6, the shield shell 10 is equipped with a separate metal fitting member 70, which has a face covering the joint 60, and a fitting leg 82 for mounting the shield type connector 1 on the board 26 at positions corresponding to either side of the shield shell 10. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball grid array type IC socket which sufficiently horizontally displaces a solder ball from a fixed part, of shortening a signal path, and of securing positional accuracy of the solder ball. SOLUTION: Each contact 14 fixed to a contact receiving hole 12 of a housing 2 has a base part (fixed part) 44, a contact arm 46, and a tine 48 extending from the lower end of the base part 44 toward a board 8. The contact arm 46 is projected so as to be extended upward and bent in one direction. The tine 48 is composed of a solder ball connection part 62, and a transition part 66 for connecting the fixed part 44 to the connection part 62 and used for displacing it in the same direction as the contact arm 46. The transition part 66 has a vertical part 66b nearly vertical to the connection part 62 for preventing the displacement and deformation of the solder ball 63 by stopping the movement of the solder ball 64. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LGA package socket not causing deformation of a housing of the socket, having full strength even though being compact, being durable and simple and having good fixing workability. SOLUTION: A cover member 8 of the LGA package socket 1 has a bearing tongue piece 64 pivotally mounted around a shaft 26. A metallic reinforcing plate 10 is fixed on lower side of the housing 2 by four holding pieces 82. A lever 12 is journaled by journaling pieces 92, 96 of the reinforcing plate 10. When pressing an LGA package 200, the cover member 8 is locked by the shaft 26 and a lock part 15 of the lever 12.
