PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an occupant from feeling a sense of discomfort, by reducing an impact sound during an operation of an opening/closing driving device or changing a sound range of the impact sound.SOLUTION: In an opening/closing driving device, a nut member 3 linearly moving by rotation of a rod member 2 is screwed to the rod member 2. An engagement member 51 capable of being engaged with a member 52 to be engaged, which is provided in the rod member 2, is moved by a link arm 54 linked with an operation of a solenoid 53, and the rotation of the rod member 2 can be stopped. The link arm 54 has a mechanical structure for limiting vibrations changing a vibrational state of the engagement member 51.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent, in a drive unit 10 driving each of first and second driven members (sunroof and shade) provided in an opening formed in a fixed roof of a vehicle via first and second geared cables 8 and 9 respectively, the first or second driven member intercepted with power transmission from a motor 18 from moving due to impact when a vehicle collision occurs in a selective transmission state for selectively transmitting the power of the motor 18 to only one of the first and second driven members while switching between a state for transmitting the power of the motor 18 to both of the first and second driven members and the selective transmission state.SOLUTION: An output path of a motor 18 is divided into two parts, namely, first and second output shafts 22 and 42. Further, a drive unit includes first and second electromagnetic clutches 24 and 44 switching connection/interception of first and second pinion gears 23 and 43 in relation to the first and second output shafts 22 and 42. When intercepting each of the clutches 24 and 44, each of the pinion gears 23 and 43 is non-rotatably fixed to a frame 3.

The invention relates to a method for producing a gate drive (14) having a main structure (40) on which a motor (5) comprising a motor shaft (64), an output shaft (80; 111, 113, 115, 117), and a gearbox (94) connecting the motor shaft (64) and the output shaft (80; 111, 113, 115, 117) is fastened. In order to be able to cost-effectively manufacture in large-scale industrial production a gate drive (14) capable of being individually adapted to various installation situations, the following steps are proposed: providing a first main structure part (42) which is constructed identically for each gate drive (14) and on which the motor (50) is fastened, selecting a second main structure part (44) from a range of different second main structure parts (44, 110, 112, 114, 116), which are each provided with an identical fastening interface (46) for fastening to the first main structure part (42) and with different output shafts (80; 111, 113, 115, 117) and/or different distances of a bearing (82) for an output shaft (80, 111, 113, 115, 117) from the fastening interface (46), fastening the first main structure part (42) and the second main structure part (44) together at the fastening interface (46), and connecting the output shaft (80, 111, 113, 115, 117), which is supported on the selected second main structure part (44, 110, 112, 114, 116), to the motor shaft (64) by way of the gearbox. Furthermore, a gate drive module system and an advantageous use of a gate drive produced in such a way are proposed.
