Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for directly measuring a clearance between a rotary tool in rotation and a workpiece.SOLUTION: Pulsed laser light having a width exceeding the clearance between the rotary tool and the workpiece arranged opposite to each other is generated to irradiate the clearance while tilting the optical axis of the generated laser light to a plane to be processed. The pulsed laser light has oscillation pulse cycles of one pulse per one rotation or integral rotations of the rotary tool, and irradiates the same angle range of the rotary tool during an oscillation-pulse ON period. Light irradiating the clearance and diffracted without being cut off by the clearance is detected by a light receiving sensor to measure the clearance length.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assembling a vehicle body structure. SOLUTION: A device 10 for assembling a vehicle body structure 12 includes a first end effector 30, a second end effector 32, a rear part end effector 34 and an upper part end effector 36 which are structured to engage with a first side part structure 20, a second side part structure 22, a rear part structure 24, an upper part structure 26, and an under structure 28. Multi-axis robotic manipulators M are used to position corresponding end effectors. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for precisely and efficiently manufacturing a revolving scroll of a scroll fluid machine. SOLUTION: Precision reference holes 7, 8 directed in an axial direction are bored on revolving scroll material A. Desired surface treatment is applied after a revolving lap 2 and cooling fins 18, 19 are machined and precision reference holes 7, 8 in an axial direction are bored at a part of bearing plate material B corresponding to the reference holes 7, 8. Both of the reference holes are mated and aligned and both of the material are combined with inserting parallel pins without applying surface treatment of the bearing plate material B.
