    摘要: A metal vapor discharge lamp including an arc tube 1 that includes a container 10 and power transmission members 20a and 20b. The container 10, made of translucent ceramic, is divided into a main tube portion 11 and narrow tube portions 12a and 12b extending out from both ends of the main tube portion 11. The power transmission members 20a and 20b respectively include electrode pins 21a and 21b made of tungsten. Coils 22a and 22b made of tungsten are respectively wound around ends of electrode pins 21a and 21b, which are respectively joined with electrode supporting members 23a and 23b made of conductive cermet. Electrode length L1 is set to (0.041P+0.5) mm to (0.041P+8.0) mm, “P” representing a lamp power in watts. Alternatively, a narrow tube portion length L2 is set to (0.032P+3.5) mm to (0.032P+8.0) mm inclusive.

    摘要: In an injection compression molding method of a lens, in which a mold is closed to preserve a predetermined compressing margin in a cavity 3 for a lens, molten resin is injected and fed into the cavity 3 for the lens, and compressed for the aforementioned predetermined compressing margin before or after the injection and the feed of the molten resin is completed, the predetermined compressing margin (the degree of slightly opening S.sub.(-)) for producing a minus lens is molded is defined to be larger than the predetermined compressing margin (the degree of slightly opening S.sub.(+)) for producing a plus lens is molded. As a result, even when the minus lens is molded, the larger area of the cavity can be ensure and a flow property of the molten resin in the cavity is improved, so that the molten resin reached the inside of the cavity 3 flow through the central portion of the cavity 3 into the peripheral portion, with the result that the appearance of a weld mark in the central portion is avoided.

    摘要: An injection compression molding method for injecting and compressing molten resin to obtain molding product using a molding die internally having a lens-forming cavity includes a pair of relatively movable inserts; a gate; a runner; and a sprue. The molten resin is injected and filled into the cavity and volume of the cavity is reduced by moving one insert toward the other insert after a time period prior to completion of injecting and filling the molten resin. At the time, a gate shut pin is protruded into the gate in synchronization with the movement of the insert to gradually close the opening of the gate. Accordingly, two demands, i.e. lower resistance in filling the cavity with the molten resin and shutting in the molten resin after the molten resin is packed in the cavity, can both be satisfied. This improves productivity and enables the production of mold products having highly accurate configuration and high quality.
