摘要: A process for preparing a composition from graphite material by contacting the graphite material with a main solvent comprising at least 10% by weight, with respect to a total weight of the main solvent, of a vinyl aromatic monomer alone or in a mixture up to 50% by weight with additional copolymerizable monomers, thereby forming a starting composition; subjecting to an ultrasound treatment with a frequency spectrum ranging between 18 kHz and 1000 kHz, at a pressure equal to or higher than 2 bar absolute and in a container or sonication chamber wherein no separated phase of fluid at the gaseous phase contacts said composition; and polymerizing at least 1% of the vinyl aromatic monomer present in the main solvent, wherein the composition is at least partially polymerized and contains graphene and graphene nanoplatelets durably dispersed in the solvent, and the composition is without any evident formations of deposits or separated phases for at least 30 days.

摘要: A process for bio-1,3-butanediol purification from a fermentation broth includes the steps of: (a) subjecting the fermentation broth to separation, (b) subjecting the product obtained in step (a) to treatment with ion-exchange resins, (c) subjecting the product obtained in step (b) to a first evaporation, (d) subjecting the product obtained in step (c) to a second evaporation; and (e) subjecting the product obtained in step (d) to a third evaporation, obtaining purified bio-1,3-butanediol. The purified bio-1,3-butanediol can be used to produce bio-1,3-butadiene. Bio-1,3-butadiene can be used as a monomer or as an intermediate to produce elastomers and (co)polymers.

摘要: The present invention relates to a polymerization process for the synthesis of vinyl aromatic polymers, in which the sequence of monomers in the chain and the linear, branched soluble, or crosslinked insoluble structure, with reactive or different polarity functions, are controlled. Said process comprises the step of polymerizing vinyl aromatic monomers by means of an Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization (ATRP) reaction with an Activator ReGenerated by Electron Transfer (ARGET), the reaction being carried out at a temperature comprised between 25° C. and 110° C. in an inert gas atmosphere in the presence of a complex catalyst containing a cupric halide and a multidentate amine ligand, feeding to the reaction an organic initiator having two geminal halogens, an alkali metal (bi)carbonate, a solvent pair of an aliphatic alcohol and an acetic ester of the same aliphatic alcohol and possibly ascorbic acid, provided that no initiator is used with three or more active halogens, or polyvinyl monomers or inimers.

摘要: The present invention relates to a solidification process of the natural rubber latex by means of polyquaternary polymers. The process of the present invention has the advantage to not require the addition of acids and/or salts, with an evident saving in terms of cost for the reagents. Furthermore, in such a way neither the neutralization step of the rubber nor the treatment of the processing water before their disposal are required. The process of the present invention is suitable both for the continuous and batchwise embodiment, with evident advantages as far as its industrial application is concerned.

摘要: Process for the production of sugars from biomass derived from guayule plants comprising: subjecting said biomass to a biological pretreatment in the presence of at least one ligninolytic fungus obtaining a liquid phase comprising sugars and a first solid residue: subjecting said first solid residue to hydrolysis in the presence of at least one diluted inorganic acid obtaining a first hydrolysate comprising sugars and a second solid residue; subjecting said second solid residue to enzymatic hydrolysis obtaining a second hydrolysate comprising sugars and a third solid residue. The sugars thus obtained can be advantageously used as sources of carbon in fermentation processes for producing alcohols (e.g., ethanol, butanol), lipids, diols (e.g., 1,3-propanediol, 1,3-butanediol, 1,4-butanediol, 2,3-butanediol), or in chemical synthesis processes for producing other intermediates or chemical products (e.g., furfural). Said alcohols and lipids can be advantageously used in turn in the production of biofuels (e.g., biodiesel or “green diesel”), which can be used as such, or mixed with other fuels for transportation, while said diols can be used in the production of products such as bio-butadiene which can in turn be used for manufacturing rubbers (e.g., polybutadiene or copolymers thereof). Said uses are particularly important in the case of a biorefinery.
