Abstract: A system may include a display driven using display driving circuitry to present an image via pixels. The display driving circuitry may include a sensor core compatible with one or more strain sensing circuits. The same sensor core may be used by a control system of the display to sense a stress applied to a strained region of a display using a current divider sensing circuit and/or a Wheatstone bridge sensing circuit.

Abstract: A method of adjusting a control signal to a component of an electronic display based on a temperature of the component, includes measuring current outputs of the component in response to applied gate voltages. The method also includes applying a mapping function to the current outputs to generate adapted current outputs, which are utilized to determine an intermediate value related to the temperature of the component. The intermediate value corresponds to a relationship between the applied gate voltages and the adapted current outputs. The intermediate value also enables the intermediate value to be substantially independent of hysteresis of the current outputs. The control signals to the component may be adjusted based at least in part on the determined intermediate value for the component.

Abstract: An electronic device may have a display. The display may include an array of pixels formed on a silicon substrate. Display driver circuitry may be formed in a display driver integrated circuit that outputs display data and other control signals for operating the display. An interposer structure may be included in the electronic device. The interposer structure may be attached to the silicon display substrate and may only partially overlap the silicon display substrate. The display driver integrated circuit may be attached to the interposer structure and provide signals to the display pixels through the interposer structure. In another possible arrangement, the display driver integrated circuit may bridge a gap between the silicon display substrate and the flexible printed circuit. The display driver integrated circuit only partially overlaps the silicon display substrate in this arrangement.

Abstract: A device includes a resistor string that includes a plurality resistors with voltage taps disposed therebetween. Abstract: In an embodiment, an electronic display includes an active area including a plurality of pixels arranged in columns and a plurality of source drivers driving image data to columns of pixels. The electronic display also includes a first plurality of switches selectively coupling respective source drivers of the plurality of source drivers to one or more columns. Selective coupling enables the respective source drivers to, at different times, drive the image data to: a single column; and multiple columns. In another embodiment, an electronic display includes a display panel configured to operate using a reference voltage received via a resistive path having a routing resistance, a reference voltage source outputting the reference voltage, and a feedback circuit sensing an electrical parameter of the resistive path and producing a compensation voltage that, when added to the reference voltage, causes the reference voltage to remain substantially constant at the display panel.

Abstract: Electronic devices and methods for compensating for noise in a display that includes sensing a current in a sensing channel of the display. Compensating for the noise also includes sensing an observation current from noise in an observation channel of the display and scaling the observation current to generate a scaled observation current. The scaled observation current is subtracted from the sense current to generate a compensated output. The compensated output is used to drive compensation operations of the display based at least in part on the compensated output to reduce effects of the noise.
