    Abstract: An optic fiber system for mounting in a rack, cassette and front plate are disclosed. A fiber optic cassette receives a pair of opposed rails on opposite inner surfaces of a housing. Catches on the fiber optic cassette comprise biased tabs which engage grooves within the rails thereby releasable securing the cassette into the housing. Catches may be provided at both ends of the cassette allowing the cassette to be inserted from either end of the housing. The cassette comprises removeable front plate which is secured to it using a snap fit. The removeable plate can be used either with the cassette or as a standalone within the housing.

    Abstract: A patch panel system is disclosed comprising a plurality of trays wherein each tray is stored within a patch panel housing but moveable towards the front of the housing into one of a patch position or an extended position. The tray is lockable in either the patch position or the extended position. In the extended position a front tray section holding one or more fiber optic connectors or modules is tiltable versus a rear tray section. In particular embodiment the tray can also be moved from the stored position into a retracted position behind the housing. A release mechanism comprising a lock is also provided which can be actuated to release the lock thereby allowing the tray to be slid out of the patch position and the extended position.

    Abstract: An assembly comprising a cable terminator comprising an elongate wire guide comprising a top end and four conductor pair receiving channels, and a securing cap configured for installation over the top end and comprising four pairs of piercing contacts exposed on an upper surface is disclosed. Each pair of the piercing contacts are interconnected with a respective conductor pair, and a coupler connector comprising a forward surface comprising an RJ-45 compatible socket, wherein tines are exposed within the socket and a rearward surface comprising a cable terminator receiving socket.     Abstract: An assembly comprising a cable terminator comprising a wire guide, a cube shaped securing cap comprising an open end for installation over the wire guide, and pairs of piercing contacts for piercing respective conductors of the cable. When assembled, an outer end of each of the piercing contacts is exposed on an outer surface of a respective securing cap sidewall.
