Abstract: The present disclosure relates to determining one or more of a space occupancy score, space energy score, and space efficiency score for a collection of lighting endpoints in a lighting network. The space occupancy score is indicative of how effective the occupancy groups are configured for a given space or the utilization level for a space. The space energy score is indicative of how much energy the collection of lighting endpoints use or will likely use based on their configurations, actual use, or a combination thereof. The space efficiency score is indicative of the overall efficiency associated with the collection of lighting endpoints based on both occupancy and energy related metrics.

Abstract: A lighting fixture includes a fixture body, a lighting bay, a light source, and an auxiliary bay. The lighting bay is in a first portion of the fixture body. The light source is in the lighting bay, and is configured to provide light suitable for general illumination. The auxiliary bay is adjacent to the lighting bay in a second portion of the fixture body. The auxiliary bay includes a mounting surface suitable for mounting an auxiliary device in the auxiliary bay and an auxiliary bay frame surrounding the auxiliary bay, which supports and therefore allows for the installation of a removable auxiliary bay cover over the auxiliary bay. Providing the auxiliary bay in the fixture body allows auxiliary devices to be installed in a ceiling without any changes to the ceiling.

Abstract: An image sensor includes an active pixel array including a number of pixels and image sensor control circuitry configured to perform a read operation only on a subset of the pixels of the active pixel array such that pixels not in the subset remain inactive. By reading out only the subset of pixels in the active pixel array and keeping the remaining pixels inactive, the temperature of the active pixel array may be reduced compared to a conventional read out process, thereby reducing thermal noise in the resulting pixel data.

Abstract: A lighting fixture includes a light source, a housing coupled to the light source, communications circuitry, and control circuitry. The housing includes an opening through which light from the light source is provided. The control circuitry includes a memory storing instructions, which, when executed by the control circuitry cause the lighting fixture to adjust one or more light output parameters of the light source, and store fixture location information describing a location of the lighting fixture in response to receipt of the fixture location information from the communications circuitry. By storing fixture location information describing the location of the lighting fixture, the location of the lighting fixture may be used to send messages to lighting fixtures in the same location and/or retrieve data from lighting fixtures in the same location, which may be beneficial in many circumstances.

Abstract: A distributed, parallel, image capture and processing architecture provides significant advantages over prior art systems. A very large array of computational circuits—in some embodiments, matching the size of the pixel array—is distributed around, within, or beneath the pixel array of an image sensor. Each computational circuit is dedicated to, and in some embodiments is physically proximal to, one, two, or more associated pixels. Each computational circuit is operative to perform computations on one, two, or more pixel values generated by its associated pixels. The computational circuits all perform the same operation(s), in parallel. In this manner, a very large number of pixel-level operations are performed in parallel, physically and electrically near the pixels. This obviates the need to transfer very large amounts of pixel data from a pixel array to a CPU/memory, for at least many pixel-level image processing operations, thus alleviating the significant high-speed performance constraints placed on modern image sensors.
