    摘要: An indoor base transceiver system (BTS) provides economical coverage by having a network-coupled base station that monitors a plurality of remote transceiver units (RTUs), or RF nodes, communicating by base-band conduits at symbol data rate. The BTS can reduce cost by interconnecting coverage nodes at the bit rate and can reduce cost by interconnecting coverage nodes at the symbol rate. The BTS can implement the modulation/demodulation function in a split fashion, with part of this accomplished in the RF Node and part accomplished in an Aggregator of the base station. System capacity can be retained by using selection combining and by using maximal ratio combining. Multiple carriers can be supported by messaging on the signal link and performing the frequency selection/generation at the remote Node. Deployment can be simplified by allowing coverage overlap of Nodes.

    摘要: Methods and systems are provided to configure a frequency repeater. The frequency repeater is configured with an identity of a service provider and receives a message that defines a set of frequencies to be repeated, the frequencies are associated with a service provider that matches the preconfigured identity. A digital filter receives an incoming signal from the service provider, and filters and repeats the frequencies defined in the received message. The frequency receiver can also determine a set of frequencies to be filtered and repeated based on a cell search procedure performed with a modem that resides in the repeater. A policy established by the service provider can also be utilized to facilitate defining the set of figures to be repeated. By utilizing a signal quality metric and an isolation metric associated, with the performance of a receive and transmit antenna utilized by the repeater, the set of frequencies to be filtered and repeated can be adapted in real time.

    摘要: A repeater is configured so as to detect feedback oscillation conditions by detecting a gain parameter, and responding to the detected gain parameter by reducing the gain when the loop gain approaches unity. When used in a framed shared channel wireless communication systems, feedback oscillation conditions the loop gain of the repeater may be adjusted so as to permit operation of the repeater outside of the oscillation range. The invention is particularly useful when the repeater is used in a framed shared channel wireless communication system.
