摘要: A method and system for providing location information to a mobile device includes providing an apparatus with a beacon. The apparatus stores identification information associated with the apparatus, and obtains information describing the correspondence between location information and apparatus identification information to determine the location of the apparatus from the stored identification information. The apparatus transmits the location information to the beacon which transmits the information to the mobile device. In addition, information defining movement of a mobile device through a navigation zone includes an array of beacons that are in communication with each other. The mobile device is provided at a first location in the navigation zone and communicates with a first beacon to indicate its proximity to the first beacon. The device moves through the zone to other locations and communicates with another beacon in proximity to the second location to indicate its proximity to the second beacon.

摘要: Provided is a system 10 for remote activation of an emergency radio beacon by a Search and Rescue (SAR) party, the system 10 comprising a controller 12 operatively arranged in signal communication with an emergency radio beacon 14, a positioning module 16 arranged in signal communication with the controller 12 and configured to operatively provide spatial positioning data to the controller 12, and a receiver 18 arranged in signal communication with the controller 12 and configured to operatively receive an activation signal 20. The controller 12 is configured to activate the beacon 14 upon receipt of the activation signal 20 and to provide the spatial positioning data of a potentially lost or distressed party to the beacon 14 for transmission along with an emergency signal 22.

摘要: A system for determining the location of a wireless device is described, the system includes a map, a fixed beacon, a fixed sensor and a server component. The server component receives a beacon identifier and a beacon signal strength from a wireless device. A sensor is located on the map. The fixed sensor receives the beacon identifier and the sensor captures a measured sensor beacon signal strength. The sensor is communicatively coupled to the server component. The server component receives the beacon identifier and the measured sensor beacon signal strength from the fixed sensor. The server component uses the beacon identifier and the beacon signal strength communicated by the wireless device and the sensor beacon signal strength and the beacon identifier received by the sensor to determine the location of the wireless device.

摘要: A system for tracking a position on a rig site may include a plurality of static beacons of defined positions on the rig site configured to transmit reference signals at a selected triggering time for transmission; at least one moveable receiver at a first location on the rig site configured to receive the reference signals from the plurality of static beacons, determine the reception time of signal, and transmit reception information to a master node via a communication channel; wherein the master node is at a location on the rig site with a reference base time, wherein the master node receives the defined positions and reference times of the plurality of static beacons, and wherein the system is configured to, based on the reception information, determine signal travel times between the static beacons and the at least one moveable receiver, determine the distances between the static beacon and the at least one moveable receiver based on a travel time of the reference signals, and determine a position of the first location.

A system for tracking carts in a shopping space comprises: a sound sensor array, a cart location database storing location information and sound profiles associated with a plurality of shopping cart identifiers, and a control circuit configured to: identify a cart sound made by a movement of a shopping cart traveling in the shopping space, determine a current location of the shopping cart based on the cart sound, match the shopping cart to a shopping cart identifier in the cart location database, update the location information associated the shopping cart identifier in the cart location database based on the current location of the shopping cart; and update the sound profile of the shopping cart identifier based on the cart sound captured by the sound sensor array.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for measuring a location of a radio frequency identification (RFID) reader by using beacons, and an RFID system for measuring a location of a moving RFID reader in an RFID system comprising: a plurality of beacon devices for emitting beacons; an RFID tag for transmitting pre-stored information by using radio frequency identification; and an RFID reader for calculating a current location using a plurality of at least three beacons wherein the RFID reader receives the plurality of beacons from the plurality of beacon devices while moving, and receiving the information from the RFID tag by using the radio frequency identification. According to the present invention, it is possible to increase the accuracy of the location measurement of a moving RFID reader in an RFID system because the location of the RFID reader is measured in consideration of propagation environments.

摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein may generate and transmit power waves that, as result of their physical waveform characteristics (e.g., frequency, amplitude, phase, gain, direction), converge at a predetermined location in a transmission field to generate a pocket of energy. Receivers associated with an electronic device being powered by the wireless charging system, may extract energy from these pockets of energy and then convert that energy into usable electric power for the electronic device associated with a receiver. The pockets of energy may manifest as a three-dimensional field (e.g., transmission field) where energy may be harvested by a receiver positioned within or nearby the pocket of energy.
