One method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, a reference signal from a beam of a network device; determining, by the terminal device, availability of the beam based on a threshold and the reference signal; and sending, by the terminal device, feedback information to the network device, wherein the feedback information indicates the availability of the beam.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose beam training methods, apparatuses, and systems. One method includes: receiving, from a network device, interference-related information; receiving, from the network device, a downlink signal sent through two or more beams, wherein the two or more beams comprise an interfering beam that causes interference to a terminal device; and transmitting, to the network device, information related to a beam selected from the two or more beams, wherein the beam is selected by the terminal device based on the interference-related information and a measurement result obtained from measuring the downlink signal.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, a reference signal sent by a network device; measuring the reference signal to obtain at least one piece of beam quality; and reporting specified differential beam quality indication information to the network device, where the specified differential beam quality indication information is used to indicate that beam quality reporting is abnormal, and/or the specified differential beam quality indication information is used to indicate that beam quality corresponding to the specified differential beam quality indication information is a specified value. A corresponding apparatus is further disclosed. According to the solution in this disclosure, specified differential beam quality indication information is used to indicate that beam quality reporting is abnormal or indicate that beam quality is a specified value, so that beam quality can be accurately reported.

    Abstract: Example antenna panel management methods of a terminal device are described. One example method includes that the terminal device enters a sleep mode from an active mode. When the terminal device is ready to re-enter the active mode from the sleep mode, if sleep duration is less than a preset threshold, a single panel of the terminal device is activated. If the sleep duration is greater than or equal to the preset threshold, a plurality of panels of the terminal device are activated. The terminal device activates a panel based on sleep duration between two consecutive DRX ON modes, so that a suitable panel can be activated in time, and a suitable beam can be further found for communication with a base station.
