Abstract: An electronic control device for power conversion having an integrated safety function and improved reliability includes: a power module for converting DC power into AC power and supply the AC power to a motor; a gate driver for controlling the power module; a microcontroller for controlling the gate driver: a power supply IC for supplying power to at least one of the gate driver and the microcontroller: a discharge circuit for discharging a high voltage supplied to the power module; and a sensor. The power supply IC includes a microcomputer abnormality detection circuit for detecting an abnormality of the microcontroller and a safety processing circuit for determining necessity of safety processing based on an output of at least one of the microcomputer abnormality detection circuit and the sensor and performs the safety processing. The safety processing circuit stops the motor or discharges a high voltage using the discharge circuit.

Abstract: There is provided an electronic control device in which a microcomputer and a power source IC are mounted, the electronic control device having high reliability and being capable of performing fixation diagnosis of a safety control signal of the power source IC before activation of the microcomputer. The electronic control device includes a microcomputer, and a power source IC that communicates with the microcomputer. The power source IC includes a monitoring circuit that monitors the microcomputer, a safety processing circuit that outputs a safety control signal when the monitoring circuit determines an occurrence of an abnormality in the microcomputer, and a diagnosis circuit that diagnoses whether or not the safety control signal has a fixation failure. The diagnosis circuit detects whether or not the fixation failure has occurred, based on states of the safety control signal before and after the safety control signal is activated after activation of a power source.

Abstract: Provided is a highly versatile and reliable power supply device (power supply ASIC) that can support electronic devices with a wide range of drive currents while suppressing a cost increase, and an electronic control device using the same. An electronic control device includes: a first power supply circuit that outputs a first voltage; a second power supply circuit that generates a second voltage from the first voltage; and a first MOSFET arranged independently of the first power supply circuit and the second power supply circuit. The second power supply circuit includes: a reference power supply that outputs a reference voltage; an amplifier that amplifies the reference voltage; a second MOSFET connected in parallel with the first MOSFET; a voltage detection unit that detects a voltage value of a gate terminal of the first MOSFET; and a switching unit that connects an output from the amplifier to either the gate terminal of the first MOSFET or a gate terminal of the second MOSFET. The switching unit is controlled based on a voltage value at a start detected by the voltage detection unit.

Abstract: To provide a highly reliable electronic control device in which an excitation amplifier that outputs an excitation signal to a resolver, a microcomputer, and a power supply IC are mounted, the electronic control device being capable of performing abnormality diagnosis of the excitation amplifier before activation and during operation of a system. An electronic control device includes a power supply IC; a microcomputer to which a power supply voltage is supplied from the power supply IC; an excitation amplifier that excites the resolver; and a diagnostic circuit that monitors an input signal and an output signal of the excitation amplifier and diagnoses abnormality; where the diagnostic circuit compares the input signal with the output signal to perform abnormality diagnosis of the excitation amplifier, and transmits a diagnosis result to the microcomputer.

Abstract: Provided is an inverter device that quickly detects an abnormality of a power device, which is an output unit of the inverter device, and of gate drive to be able to safely control and stop the inverter device. The inverter device includes a gate voltage detection unit 19 that detects a gate voltage VG of the power device with respect to a given threshold voltage, and a drain voltage detection unit 30 that detects a drain voltage with respect to a given threshold voltage. A microcontroller 10 compares a gate drive signal 40 with a gate voltage detection signal 41 to make a diagnosis and compares the gate drive signal 40 with a drain voltage detection signal 42 to make a diagnosis, thereby making a diagnosis on normal drive and detection of the gate voltage VG and on normal drive and detection of the power device. In addition, by generating a gate drive signal to the power device, from a gate voltage detection signal from a counter power device, a dead time is reduced.
