Abstract: This application provides a method for transmitting a wake-up packet in a communications system and a device. The communications system includes a transmit end device and a receive end device. The receive end device includes a wake-up receiver and a main transceiver. The method includes: sending, by the transmit end device, a first wake-up packet WUP to the wake-up receiver by using a first data rate; determining, by the transmit end device, a second data rate; and sending, by the transmit end device, a second WUP to the wake-up receiver by using the second data rate. The transmit end device can determine a proper data rate for sending a wake-up packet based on a specific transmission condition in a communication process, thereby improving transmission efficiency of the wake-up packet.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application disclose a station association method and apparatus. The station association method includes: receiving a message sent by at least one access point AP, where the message carries a wake-up radio load information element, and the wake-up radio load information element includes load information of a wake-up radio channel managed by the AP; and selecting, based on the load information, a target AP from the at least one AP, so as to perform association. In the embodiments of the present application, a STA can be notified of load information of a wake-up radio channel managed by an AP, so that the STA selects an appropriate AP to perform association.

Abstract: Embodiments provide resource scheduling methods and apparatus that reduce transmission resource overhead in resource scheduling. One example method includes: setting, by a first station (STA), a basic service set (BSS) color to be used by a second STA in a device-to-device (D2D) transmission with the first STA, wherein the first STA sets the BSS color to be a first color that is preconfigured for D2D transmission, wherein the first color is different from a second color allocated by an access point (AP) associated with the first STA for transmission with the AP, and wherein the first color is used for D2D transmissions between the first STA and other STAs in addition to the first color being used for D2D transmission between the first STA and the second STA; generating, by the first STA, a data frame that comprises the BSS color that is the first color; and sending, by the first STA, the data frame to the second STA in the D2D transmission.

Abstract: An association establishment method and apparatus for carrying out the method are described. The association establishment method includes broadcasting, by an access point (AP), a trigger frame, wherein the trigger frame is used to trigger one or more unassociated stations STAs to perform uplink data transmission and indicate one or more available subchannels for random accessing of the unassociated STAs. The method further comprises receiving, by the AP, one or more association request messages sent on available subchannels acquired by the unassociated STAs. Thereafter, the AP broadcasts a multi-block acknowledgement M-BA frame, wherein the M-BA frame includes one or more pieces of association acknowledgement information and the association acknowledgement information is acknowledgement information of the association request message.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a state switching method and apparatus. The state switching method includes: receiving, by a first network node, a preset frame sent by a second network node, where the preset frame includes indication information used to indicate an on/off state of a main transceiver and/or a wake up receiver of the first network node immediately, after a specified time point, or within a specified time period; and controlling, by the first network node based on the indication information, to switch an on/off state of the main transceiver and/or the wake up receiver of the first network node. According to the embodiments of the present invention, energy is saved by using a preset frame to indicate an on/off state of a main transceiver and/or a wake up receiver of a network node after a specified time point or within a specified time period.
