    Abstract: In an example, there is disclosed an apparatus, having: a first network interface, having a first clock and a local communication driver to communicatively couple the first network interface to a second network interface having a second clock; and one or more logic elements, including at least one hardware logic element, providing a synchronization engine to: send a first plurality of data words from the first wireless interface to the second wireless interface via the local communication driver; receive back from the second wireless interface a second plurality of data words; assign a plurality of error rates to the data words of the second plurality of data words, the plurality of error rates indicating match or mismatch; identify a range of least error values within the plurality of error rates; and select an agreed baud rate from within the range.

    Abstract: A user equipment for discontinuous reception operation in a wireless communication network comprises a receiver. The receiver is configured to operate in an RRC-connected state with predefined DRX active state time periods. The user equipment comprises a paging monitor which is configured to check whether a general paging message has already been read in a current paging cycle. The paging monitor is configured to check whether a general paging message is to be received in a current DRX active state time period if no general paging message has been read in the current paging cycle. The paging monitor is configured to read the general paging message during the current DRX active state time period.

    Abstract: A communication terminal is described comprising a first transceiver configured for communication according to a first radio access technology and a second transceiver configured for communication according to a second radio access technology. The second transceiver is configured to determine whether a frequency range is occupied by a transmission according to the second radio access technology and to notify the first transceiver whether the frequency range is occupied by a transmission according to the second radio access technology. The first transceiver is configured to receive signals transmitted in the frequency range based on the notification from the second transceiver.
