Abstract:
Embodiments provide a novel fabrication method and structure for reducing structural weight in radio frequency cavity filters and radio subsystems such as antennas and filters. The novel structures are fabricated by electroplating the required structure over a mold, housing, or substrate. The electrodeposited composite layer may be formed by several layers of metal or metal alloys with compensating thermal expansion coefficients. The first or the top layer is a high conductivity material or compound such as silver having a thickness of several times the skin-depth at the intended frequency of operation. The top layer provides the vital low loss performance and high Q-factor required for such filter structures while the subsequent compound layers provide the mechanical strength.
Abstract:
A delivery system for intranasally administering doses of a substance such as a drug, vaccine, or the like is provided. The drug delivery system includes a holder comprising a rear case and a pre-filled drug container that is securely connected to the holder. The drug container includes a cartridge for containing the drug, a movable stopper within the cartridge, and an end having an opening through which the substance within the cartridge can be expelled. The rear case is connected to the drug container at one end and an activator at the other end. Within the rear case is contained the means for activating the movable stopper within the cartridge, which acts as a plunger rod, by pressing the activator. Further provided is a nozzle able to be attached to the opening at the end of the drug container to provide a means for precise delivery of the drug.
Abstract:
An electrical connector assembly or cable assembly that carries a combination of radio frequency signals, high speed digital communication signals, and direct current DC power signals is disclosed. The electrical connector assembly exhibits environmental protection. Other features include providing blind mate connection that may be used in a radio transport or fiber transport repeater system for a wireless network.
Abstract:
A modular design repeater platform that allows unique deployment configurations and rapid upgrading, and modifications to a deployed system in a wireless or fiber optic network system is disclosed. The platforms include fiber transport and radio transport systems. The system includes a base unit coupled to one or more RF modules. The components employ a flange—recess design and pedestal mounts to securely couple the components together.
