Abstract: The present invention successively performs hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) and dehydration so that, unlike that of a conventional technique, an alpha-olefin is prepared to have high selectivity, and not an olefin having a double bond at sites other than the alpha position. In addition, according to the present invention, selectivity for alpha-olefin can be further improved under optimal reaction conditions, and an alpha-olefin can be stably prepared with an extended preparation time of up to 180 hours.

Abstract: According to the present disclosure, by forming normal pressure conditions in a reaction system through application of a reflux system to an aqueous phase in the presence of sulfuric acid and an inorganic salt in the dehydration reaction of biomass-derived sugar components in an open system, there is no need to include a high-pressure vessel required in a conventional 5-halomethylfurfural production process, there is no risk of safety accidents, including the explosion of a high-pressure vessel and the leakage of strong acid gas, and there is a remarkable effect in that yield is improved three-fold or more compared to the case of using a conventionally used acid catalyst under the normal pressure conditions.

Abstract: Proposed is a two-pot-two-step simultaneous conversion system for carbon dioxide and a hydrocarbon containing at least one hydroxy group and a method thereof. The system integrates a process of producing a metal salt that is a dehydrogenated form of the hydrocarbon, hydrogen, and water by reacting a hydrocarbon containing at least one hydroxy group in the presence of water and a metal oxalate, and a process of converting carbon dioxide or carbon dioxide-derived carbonate into formate by hydrogenation, thereby increasing energy efficiency while maintaining a higher hydrocarbon conversion rate and a higher carbon dioxide conversion rate than the one-pot conversion system for hydrocarbon and carbon dioxide.
