摘要: An apparatus for continuously cooling a heated metal plate lying horizontally, which comprises: an upper cooling water ejecting means, arranged above the metal plate in parallel to the width direction thereof, for ejecting cooling water onto the upper surface of the metal plate; a water tank, arranged below the metal plate, for receiving cooling water; and a lower cooling water ejecting means having a lower cooling water ejecting bore, arranged in the water tank in parallel to the width direction of the metal plate. The lower cooling water ejecting means ejects, in the form of a jet stream, cooling water from the lower cooling water ejecting bore together with cooling water received in the water tank, onto the lower surface of the metal plate. The above-mentioned jet stream is surrounded by a jet stream guide duct arranged between the lower cooling water ejecting means and the lower surface of the metal plate.

摘要: A method of quenching a large-diameter thin-walled metal pipe includes the steps of moving the metal pipe through a heating zone and passing the pipe through a cooling zone following passage of the pipe through the heating zone. The cooling zone includes a plurality of nozzles for spraying a cooling liquid onto the pipe from the nozzles, so as to quench the pipe. The process steps further include detecting the amount of strain on the outer periphery of the quenched pipe at the rear end of the cooling zone, as seen in the direction of movement of the pipe, so as to obtain a deviation of a detected value from a preset value, and adjusting the amount of cooling liquid sprayed onto the pipe from the nozzles in accordance with the amount of deviation from the preset value, so that the adjusted cooling water spray controls the deviation of pipe emerging from the cooling zone, for example, reduces the eccentricity of a circular pipe.

摘要: In continuous induction heat treatment of an elongated metal member, additional local induction heating is applied to an end portion or portions of the metal member, thereby to obtain uniform induction heating temperature distribution over the whole length of the metal member. The additional local heating or preheating the end portion of the metal member is performed by the use of a preliminary induction heating coil which is maintained in predetermined relative relationship with the metal member for a predetermined period of time.

摘要: A film bulk acoustic wave resonator of the invention includes a substrate; a resonant structure provided on the substrate constituted by a lower electrode, a piezoelectric film and an upper electrode; and an acoustic multilayer of a plurality of reflective films provided between the substrate and the resonant structure. At least one of the reflective films of the acoustic multilayer has a specified crystal plane orientation, and an X-ray rocking curve full width at half maximum that is preferably not greater than 10 degrees, and more preferably is not greater than 3 degrees. This makes it possible to obtain better resonance characteristics than in the case of the prior art, by increasing the efficiency with which bulk waves propagating towards the substrate are reflected.

摘要: An electronic device includes a substrate, a lower conductive film formed on the substrate and a functional film formed on the lower conductive film. In the present invention, an adhesion of the lower conductive film on the side of the substrate is greater than or equal to 0.1 N/cm. The electronic device according to this invention exhibits high mechanical strength that makes it very reliable. This is because the invention prevents the physical exfoliation of the lower conductive film that is apt to occur during or after fabrication of the electronic device when the adhesion of the lower conductive film is lower than 0.1 N/cm.
