Abstract: A method of controlling an RPM of a blower for a gas furnace that passes air to be supplied to a room around a heat exchanger of a gas furnace, the method including starting operation of the gas furnace; measuring an air temperature in an outlet side of the gas furnace; measuring the RPM of the blower; determining whether the air temperature falls within a reference temperature range; and adjusting the RPM of the blower such that the air temperature falls within the reference temperature range.

Abstract: A gas furnace includes: a combustion part in which a fuel gas is burnt to generate a combustion gas; a heat exchanger having a gas flow path through which the combustion gas flows; a blower configured to blow air around the heat exchanger; and an inducer configured to discharge the combustion gas from the heat exchanger, wherein the heat exchanger includes: at least one single path in which a single gas flow path is formed; a single-multiple return bend configured to communicate with the single path and convert a flow direction of the combustion gas; and at least one multiple path having a plurality of paths that communicate with the single-multiple return bend and form multiple gas flow paths.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a condensate trap for a gas furnace for collecting and discharging condensate generated in a heat exchanger and an exhaust pipe, the condensate trap including: a first inlet through which the condensate generated in the heat exchanger is introduced; a second inlet through which the condensate generated in the exhaust pipe is introduced; a first passage through which the condensate introduced from the first inlet passes; a second passage through which the condensate introduced from the second inlet passes; a discharge port through which the condensate, having passed through the first passage and the second passage, is discharged outside; and a backflow prevention device disposed on the first passage and configured to prevent backflow of air, wherein the backflow prevention device includes: a housing; and a core which is movably disposed in the housing, and which in response to an amount of the condensate introduced from the first inlet being less than or equal to a predetermined amount, prevents backflow of the air by closing the first passage.

The gas furnace includes: a coupling box serving as an intermediary to connect the primary heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger; a collect box connected to the secondary heat exchanger, for letting in the combustion gas passed through the secondary heat exchanger; an inducer connected to the collect box, for inducing a flow of the combustion gas; and a bypass pipe connected to one side of the coupling box and including a bypass pipe for guiding the combustion gas passed through the primary heat exchanger to a hot water supply tank for supplying hot water to an indoor space.

Abstract: An ejector and a refrigeration cycle apparatus having an ejector are provided. The ejector may include an ejector body having a suction portion into which a high pressure refrigerant and a low pressure refrigerant may be suctioned, and having a mixing portion provided at one side of the suction portion and configured to mix the high pressure refrigerant with the low pressure refrigerant; a nozzle movably provided in the suction portion, and configured to inject the high pressure refrigerant; a needle inserted into an end of the nozzle and configured to control a flow sectional area of the nozzle; and a nozzle drive configured to drive the nozzle so as to be relatively movable with respect to the mixing portion and the needle. As a flow sectional area of a high pressure refrigerant passage and a flow sectional area of a low pressure refrigerant passage are controlled, a driving efficiency of the ejector may be enhanced.

Abstract: A method for controlling a gas furnace including measuring an indoor temperature, comparing the indoor temperature with a set temperature for heating, and operating the gas furnace in weak heating with a predetermined heating capacity, which is lower than a maximum heating capacity of the gas furnace, when the set temperature for heating is higher than the indoor temperature by a temperature value, which is less than a predetermined temperature value. The predetermined heating capacity for weak heating is maintained at a current heating capacity for weak heating, when the gas furnace operates in weak heating, and when an operating duration with the current heating capacity for weak heating is less than a first time value.

Abstract: Disclosed is a gas furnace including a mixer configured to mix air and fuel gas introduced from an intake pipe and a manifold respectively so as to produce an air-fuel mixture, a mixing pipe configured to allow the air-fuel mixture having passed through the mixer to flow therein, a burner assembly configured to combust the air-fuel mixture having passed through the mixing pipe so as to generate combustion gas, heat exchangers configured to allow the combustion gas to flow therein, an exhaust pipe configured to discharge exhaust gas, which is the combustion gas having passed through the heat exchangers, to the outside. The gas furnace further includes a recirculator installed around the exhaust pipe and configured to guide a portion of the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust pipe to the mixer, and may thus greatly reduce or fundamentally block NOx emissions.

Abstract: Provided is a condensate water trap for a gas furnace that collects and discharges condensate water produced in a heat exchanger and an exhaust pipe. The condensate water trap includes: a first inlet through which the condensate water produced in the heat exchanger is introduced; a second inlet through which the condensate water produced in the exhaust pipe is introduced; a first flow path through which the condensate water coming from the first inlet passes; a second flow path through which the condensate water coming from the second inlet passes; an outlet through which the condensate water introduced through the first and second inlets is discharged; a third flow path into which the residual condensate water passed through at least one of the first and second flow paths but not discharged through the outlet is introduced; and a sensing mechanism that senses if the amount of residual condensate water introduced into the third flow path is greater than or equal to a given amount.

Abstract: A method of controlling a gas furnace comprising a gas valve for supplying a fuel gas to a manifold; a burner through which the fuel gas discharged from the manifold passes; an igniter for igniting a mixture of fuel gas passed through the burner and air; and an inducer for generating a flow in which a combustion gas generated by the burning of the mixture is discharged to an exhaust pipe via a heat exchanger, wherein the gas furnace performs a heating operation according to a heating signal or a heating stop according to a stop signal, includes the steps of: (a) receiving any one of the heating signal or the stop signal; (b) transmitting a signal to operate the inducer when the heating signal is received; (c) operating the igniter; (d) transmitting a signal to open the gas valve; (e) detecting whether the gas valve is opened or closed; (f) detecting a flow rate of the fuel gas in the manifold; and (g) displaying a normal operation of the heating operation, based on information detected in the steps (e) and (f).
