    摘要: Progressively optimized clock tree/mesh construction is performed concurrently with placement of all remaining objects. Clock tree/mesh is specified loosely for initial placement, then followed by progressive detailed placement. In particular, preferred approach provides automated and reliable solution to clock tree/mesh construction, occuring concurrently with placement process so that clock tree wiring and buffering considers and influences placement and wiring of all other objects, such as logic gates, memory elements, macrocells, etc. Hence, in this concurrent manner, clock tree/mesh pre-wiring and pre-buffering may be based on construction of approximate clock tree using partitioning information only, i.e., prior to object placement. Further, present approach provides modified DME-based clock tree topology construction without meandering, and recursive algorithm for buffered clock tree construction.

    摘要: A replaceable needle assembly is provided for a retractable syringe comprising a barrel and a plunger, whereby the retractable needle can be replaced by a user without affecting the retraction mechanism. A mounting member is removably mountable to the barrel by way of a screw-thread connection and a needle mount is removably coupled to the mounting member. A needle is mounted to the needle mount. The barrel comprises a needle mount retainer that comprises a plurality of fingers that engage the retractable needle mount to prevent inadvertent retraction. The plunger comprises a collapsible seal which maximizes the efficiency of fluid delivery prior to the plunger engaging the retractable needle mount for retraction. An initially compressed spring decompresses to drive retraction of the plunger and the engaged needle mount. A lock formed between the plunger and barrel prevents further use of the plunger after retraction.

The stainless steel flying leads are activated and plated with one or more metals, with a final layer over the flying lead being a layer such as gold, suitable for bonding to form bond pads. The gold bond pads may be attached using thermosonic welding, solder ball bonding, or other suitable methods to an electrical component such as wires or a the disk drive's pre-amp circuit.

    摘要: An additive process disk drive suspension interconnect, and method therefor is provided. The interconnect has a metal grounding layer of typically stainless steel or copper metallized stainless steel, a metal conductive layer and an insulative layer between the metal grounding layer and the conductive metal layer. A circuit component such as a slider is electrically connected to the conductive layer along a grounding path from the circuit component and the conductive layer to the metal grounding layer through an aperture in the insulative layer. For improved electrical connection a tie layer is provided through the insulative layer onto the grounding layer in bonding relation with the ground layer. A conductor is deposited onto both the conductive metal layer and the tie layer in conductive metal layer and tie layer bonding relation, and the circuit component is thus bonded to the grounding layer by the conductor.

    摘要: A multi-layer circuit such as for a disk drive suspension has two regions: a supported region in which first and second stacked signal conductors are supported on a stainless steel support layer and an insulating layer, and an unsupported region having flying leads in which the flying leads are not supported below by the support layer. The two stacked signal conductors are formed by two separate plating operations, the two plating operations simultaneously creating the flying leads and the unsupported portions of the signal conductors, such that the flying leads have thicknesses that are the sum of the thicknesses of the individual conductors. Crossbars and vias allow the different plating layers to be connected together. This construction allows the individual conductors to be relatively thin and flexible for good electrical and mechanical performance, while creating relatively thick flying leads that are resistant to handling damage.
