    摘要: An on-vehicle alternator is disclosed having a rotor driven by an engine via a belt, a stator having armature windings to generate electromotive forces in response to rotating magnetic fluxes, a housing on which the stator is fixedly secured, a pulley fixedly supported on the rotor to transmit a belt drive force to the rotor, and bearings rotatably supporting the rotor and fixedly supported on the housing. The power generator also includes a bush, formed of a metallic member, which is accommodated in the housing. The bearing, disposed in an area closer to the pulley, is comprised of an inner race, an outer race and rolling elements, all of which are formed of metallic members, with the outer race being press fitted to the bush with a certain degree of interference.

The present method establishes formulae enabling calculation based on only output current and the rotational speed, enabling a minimal number of inputs to shorten a calculation time interval.

    摘要: In an on-vehicle alternator using a serpentine drive system with a poly-V belt, a damping ratio of the alternator is rendered 0.5 or more as other auxiliary machines by considering six contributors to the damping ratio (i.e., pulley radii, a belt span, a moment of inertia, the number of belt ribs, an elasticity modulus of a single-body belt, and a hysteresis loss of a single-body belt). In one example, a pulley ratio of the alternator relative to an engine crankshaft pulley is rendered 2 or less. In another example, belt span lengths on both sides of the alternator are reduced by fixing the alternator to an on-vehicle engine using a side mounting system. The damping ratio of the alternator is thus increased to 0.5 or more, leading to a significant reduction in vibration in the serpentine drive system fixed to the on-vehicle engine.

    摘要: In a design method for a belt transmission system, tensile forces between pulleys are calculated from a total layout of the belt transmission system, such as a spring constant of a belt, a distance between the pulleys, an initial tensile force, a driving force for the respective pulleys to be calculated from a load of the respective pulleys, and so on. A coefficient of static friction is calculated from the tensile forces at the pulling and un-pulling sides and a contact angle. Then the coefficient of the static friction is compared with a maximum coefficient of the static friction, and it is determined that no slip occurs when the coefficient of the static friction is smaller than the maximum coefficient of the static friction.

    摘要: In an alternator stator for vehicle, each of the phase-windings includes first and second coil-end groups at opposite axial ends the stator core. Each of the slots includes radially aligned six layers. Each of the phase-windings comprises a plurality of sets of U-shaped segments disposed in a pair of slots separated from each other by a pole-pitch and a plurality of connection segments formed from the U-shaped segments. Each of the sets includes a large segment having a pair of the conductor members disposed in the innermost and the outermost layers, a medium segment having a pair of the conductor members disposed in the layers inside the innermost and the outermost layers to be surrounded by the large segment at the first coil-end group, a small segment having a pair of conductor members respectively disposed in the middle two layers to be surrounded by the medium segment at the first coil-end group. The small segment of one of the sets is connected in series with the small segment of another adjacent thereto at the second coil-end group to form a wave winding. The large segment of one of the sets is connected in series with the medium segment of another of the sets adjacent thereto at the second coil-end group to form a lap winding. The wave winding and the lap winding are connected in series by the connection segments to form one of the plurality of phase-windings.

    摘要: The present invention provides a compact, efficient and noiseless alternator for an automotive vehicle which employs a double-layer coil arrangement in a slot for eliminating coil end interference as well as improving the space factor. An automotive alternator comprises a Lundel-type core rotor with 16 poles, and a stator with toothed portions of 96 poles spaced by slots. U-shaped conductor segments are installed in the slots. One portion of the conductor is accommodated in an outer layer portion of a predetermined slot, while the other portion is accommodated in an inner layer portion of a slot phase shifted by an electric angle of 180°. In this manner, all of the slots are separated into the inner and outer layers to accommodate a plurality of conductor segments. These conductor segments are connected only at one side of the stator to form a total of twelve wavy winding coils. These twelve wavy winding coils are divided into three groups each consisting of a serial connection of four wavy windings to constitute one phase of a three-phase stator coil.
