摘要: A general purpose engine is provided with an engine main body, a rotary shaft, and an axial gap type motor/generator. The rotary shaft is rotated by a driving force of the engine main body. The rotary shaft includes a first shaft part disposed on one side portion of the engine main body and a second shaft part disposed on another side portion of the engine main body. The axial gap type motor/generator is attached integrally to the second shaft part. The axial gap type motor/generator is provided with a power generating rotor that rotates integrally with said rotary shaft, and a stator that is attached to the engine main body. The stator is disposed on a side closer to the engine main body than the power generating rotor and at a remove from the power generating rotor.

摘要: An integrated database system comprises a plurality of database systems connected to one another through a network, each of the plurality of database systems managing its own stored data independently of the other database systems and accessing the stored data in accordance with an access request, and an integrated database unit connected to the network. The integrated database unit includes a directory database which stores a correspondence between each of the data stored in the plurality of database systems and a database system in which each of the data is stored, a directory control unit which acquires, by using the directory database, directory information corresponding to target data of the accepted access request, a database identifying unit which identifies a database system, and a database control unit which issues, on the basis of the acquired directory information, an access request to the database system having the target data of the accepted access request. The database system includes a database server unit which accesses a database in accordance with the access request issued by the integrated database unit.

摘要: A communication system is provided of selecting the most approximate line from two or more connectable lines and connecting with a provider through the selected line in the mobile communication environment. The mobile device and the public phone of each phone company provide a standard wireless data communication facility, respectively. The public line pre-stores information about dial-up numbers of access points and a transmission speed of an internet provider. When the user starts the communication, the mobile device operates to obtain the most approximate access point information from each of the public phones and then dial up the most approximate access point through the public phone/line well-specified to the user.

摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide a communication network system that reduces the burden of entering settings for the network system. A service directory server in the communication network system provides unified management of the service information of the service-providing server installed in the network. The service information managed by the service directory server is distributed to the communication nodes either automatically or in response to requests from a communication node. The communication nodes receive packets and, for received packets that are addressed to itself, a service-providing server destination is determined based on the service information provided by the service directory server and the packet is transferred to the server to receive the service.

摘要: A data transmission-reception system is disclosed wherein, after the radio wave condition becomes good, backup processing is performed immediately without performing confirmation of the memory capacity of a portable radio terminal thereby to allow efficient transmission-reception of data such as an electronic mail. Information of a mail server is received by a portable telephone terminal through a dialup server and then transferred to an electronic mail terminal. In this instance, when the radio wave condition is good, a card loaded in the portable telephone terminal accesses the mail server as a representative of the electronic mail server and fetches electronic mails stored in the mail server and destined for the user into the electronic mail terminal through the dialup server and the portable telephone terminal. Here, the fact that the radio wave condition exhibits that reception of the radio wave is possible is used as a trigger to perform reception of transfer data without performing discrimination of whether the transfer data can be stored into a memory of the portable telephone terminal. Then, the transfer data are not stored into the portable telephone terminal but stored directly into a memory of the electronic mail terminal.

摘要: With respect to a data transfer over a network, data is stored in each cache of the network and the retrieving processing following the second retrieving processing is executed by using a cache, thereby resulting in a transfer amount being decreased. Statistics information of a data transfer over the network is obtained. When transfer data is stored in a low-speed storage such as a disk, only data of high access frequency is stored and data of low access frequency is discarded, thereby solving such a problem that a speed of a disk apparatus becomes a bottleneck.
