Abstract: An electronic device includes: a communicator comprising communication circuitry configured to communicate with a server, a memory storing one or more instructions, and a processor configured to execute the one or more instructions stored in the memory to: set an operation according to a connection release of the communicator to be skipped based on receiving first operation mode change information in a normal mode and enter a suspend mode from the normal mode, skip the operation according to the connection release based on receiving connection release information from the communicator in the suspend mode, and switch from the suspend mode to the normal mode based on receiving second operation mode change information after receiving the connection release information from the communicator and release setting to skip the operation according to the connection release of the communicator in the normal mode.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and electronic devices for accessing an access point. In some embodiments, the electronic device includes a Wi-Fi module including an internal memory, and a processor configured to execute at least one instruction. The Wi-Fi module is configured to store, in the internal memory, a first request requesting an access point transition. The Wi-Fi module is further configured to generate a wakeup signal, based on reception of the first request from a first access point, while the processor is in a suspend mode. The Wi-Fi module is further configured to transmit, to the processor, the first request stored in the internal memory, after the processor has woken up based on the wakeup signal.

Abstract: Provided are an electronic device and method of determining a peer-to-peer (P2P) operating channel. The electronic device includes a communication interface; and a processor configured to acquire access point (AP) connection information of the electronic device about a wireless connection to an AP and BT connection information of the electronic device about a connection to a Bluetooth device, receive, from a peer device attempting to establish a P2P connection to the electronic device, AP connection information of the peer device about a wireless connection to an AP, determine a P2P operating channel between the electronic device and the peer device based on the AP connection information and the BT connection information of the electronic device and the AP connection information of the peer device, and establish a P2P connection between the electronic device and the peer device according to the determined P2P operating channel.

Abstract: A mobile device, electronic device, and operation methods thereof are provided. The mobile device includes a communication interface; a memory storing one or more instructions; and a processor configured to execute the one or more instructions stored in the memory to: connect through the communication interface to an electronic device to be wirelessly connected to an access point (AP), obtain an AP list including one or more APs to each of which the mobile device has a history of being connected, identify one or more APs selected from the AP list having the connection history as candidate APs and create a candidate AP list including information about the identified one or more candidate APs, and transmit, to the electronic device, the candidate AP list and information about a home AP indicating an AP to which the mobile device is currently connected.
