Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method for management of alternate-network slice in a multi-SIM UE. The method includes storing slice mapping information in a network slice database. The slice mapping information includes a mapping among each candidate network slice of a plurality of network slices associated with a plurality of SIMs of the MUSIM UE. The method includes determining whether candidate network slice associated with a first SIM of the plurality of SIMs is available. The method includes determining candidate network slice associated with a second SIM based on the stored slice mapping information in the network slice database when the candidate network slice associated with the first SIM is not available. The method includes sending a registration request message to a second network operator associated with the second SIM based on the determined candidate network slice associated with the second SIM.

Embodiments herein provide a method for providing voice call and data service simultaneously on plurality of SIM in EN-DC capable UE. The method includes registering a first SIM to a first network in a DCNR supported mode using a T1 and registering a second SIM to a second network in the DCNR not supported mode using a T2. The method also includes determining a 4G bearer is established on the T1 and a 5G bearer is established on the T2 by the first network using the first SIM. Further, the method also includes determining the voice call is being initiated on the second SIM when the data service is active on the first SIM through the T1 and the T2; and configuring the second SIM to provide the voice call over the T2 and the first SIM to provide the data services over the T1.-

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide methods and systems for performing paging operation in 5G communication networks. The 5G core network can transmit a NAS message to a UE through a N3GPP access network, if the UE is reachable through the N3GPP access network. The NAS message can be sent by the 5G core network to the N3IWF. The N3IWF can send the NAS message to the UE, through the N3GPP access network. The UE can send a service request over 3GPP access, in response to the NAS message, to the 5G core network, through a 5G RAN. If the UE is not having access to the 5G RAN, then the UE can transmit a notification response message to the 5G core network, indicating the inability to transmit a service request. The transmission of NAS message through the N3IWF can lead to a significant saving of radio resources.

The method includes registering, by a User Equipment (UE), with a first core network entity over a 3GPP access network and a non-3GPP access network. Further, the method includes triggering, by the UE, a registration procedure to a second core network over the 3GPP access network when a periodic timer of the UE expires in an OOS state. Further, the method includes receiving, by the UE, a non-access stratum (NAS) message, over the 3GPP access network, with an indication to register for the non-3GPP access network with the second core network entity. Further, the method includes reinitiating the registration procedure to register again for the non-3GPP access with the second core network entity through the non-3GPP access network.
