Abstract: Accordingly, Example embodiments herein disclose a method for supporting a user equipment (UE) accessing one or more closed access group (CAG) cells via a radio access network. A core network apparatus may receive via the interface circuitry a request signal that includes a protected CAG identifier (ID) associated with the UE. The core network apparatus may de-conceal the protected CAG ID to determine a CAG ID. The proposed method can be used to define how the wireless communication system will perform the subscription check for the received CAG identifier. Further, the method can also be defined how to perform resume procedure on a CAG cell when the UE (100) is in a 5GMM-CONNECTED with inactive indication or 5GMM-IDLE with suspend indication.

A UE is registered to a first PLMN and a first 5G NAS security context has been established. The UE selects a second PLMN. The UE sends Initial Registration procedure with only cleartext IE to the second PLMN. The second PLMN may initiate and perform authentication procedure. The second PLMN initiates NAS Security mode control procedure and sends a Security Mode Command message containing the selected NAS ciphering method to the UE. The UE sends entire the Registration Request message containing both cleartext IE(s) and non-cleartext IE(s) using the NAS ciphering method sent in the Security Mode Complete message. The second PLMN send Registration Accept message.

A method for communication of a constrained user equipment (UE) with a Message in Fifth Generation (MSGin5G) server providing a MSGin5G service in an IoT network is provided. The method includes receiving, by an unconstrained UE, a registration request comprises a security credential of the constrained UE from the constrained UE, where the unconstrained UE have access to the MSGin5G server and the constrained UE do not have access to the MSGin5G server. The method includes determining, by the unconstrained UE, whether the constrained UE is authorized based on the security credential. The method includes performing, by the unconstrained UE, a registration of the constrained UE with the unconstrained UE for communication of the constrained UE with the MSGin5G server based on authorization of the constrained UE.

Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling permissions of a UE for accessing a network. Abstract: Accordingly, embodiments herein disclose a method for handling a closed access group (CAG) related procedure in a wireless communication system. A network may receive a radio resource control (RRC) resume request message from a user equipment (UE). The network may determine whether the at least one CAG identifier (ID) broadcasted in a CAG cell is included in an allowed CAG list of the UE (100) in response to the RRC resume request message. The network may proceed with a RRC resume procedure in response to determining that the at least one CAG ID is included in the allowed CAG list.
