A semiconductor light-emitting device includes a first conductive semiconductor layer on a substrate, a superlattice layer including a plurality of first quantum barrier layers and a plurality of first quantum well layers, the plurality of first quantum barrier layers and the plurality of first quantum well layers being alternately stacked on the first conductive semiconductor layer, an active layer on the superlattice layer, and a second conductive semiconductor layer on the active layer, wherein a Si doping concentration of at least one of the plurality of first quantum well layers is equal to or greater than 1.0×1016/cm3 and less than or equal to 1.0×1018/cm3. Thus, the semiconductor light-emitting device may have increased light output and reliability.

Signaling of a sample adaptive offset (SAO) parameter determined to minimize an error between an original image and a reconstructed image during video encoding and decoding operations. A video encoding method of signaling an SAO parameter includes, from among largest coding units (LCUs) of a video, obtaining prediction information before de-blocking of a currently encoded LCU is performed; predicting an SAO parameter of the currently encoded LCU based on the obtained prediction information; and performing entropy encoding on the predicted SAO parameter.
Abstract:
A convolution neural network (CNN)-based image processing method and apparatus are provided. The CNN-based image processing method includes identifying whether values of pixels of each of feature maps having a plurality of channels at a first layer are zero, and storing information regarding a result of identifying whether the values of the pixels are zero; writing image feature information of the feature maps at the first layer to an external memory; reading information regarding pixels having values which are not zero among the written image feature information from the external memory based on the information regarding the result of identifying whether the values of the pixels are zero; and performing a feature map operation at a second layer using the read image feature information of the feature maps.

Provided is a shared resource access arbitration method of a shared resource access arbitration apparatus, the shared resource access arbitration method including: receiving, from at least one master apparatus, buffer status information related to a buffer included in the at least one master apparatus; determining, based on the received buffer status information, priorities of shared resource access requests received from a plurality of master apparatuses including the at least one master apparatus; and granting, according to the determined priorities of the shared resource access requests, one of the shared resource access requests having a high priority.

Provided are a method and an apparatus for controlling access to memory. The method, performed by a memory device, of controlling access of a master device, includes: receiving, from the master device, an access request with respect to at least one of a plurality of banks included in the memory device; determining whether access to each of the at least one bank to which access was requested is granted; and generating validity information representing whether the access to each of the at least one bank to which access was requested is granted, and transmitting the generated the validity information to the master device.
