Abstract:
An apparatus and method are provided for performing interworking between different messaging services in a Converged Internet Protocol (IP) Messaging (CPM) service. The method includes receiving, by a CPM server, a message generated based on a user input from an arbitrary terminal; requesting, by the CPM server, a presence server to provide presence information corresponding to a recipient of the message; receiving, from the presence server, the presence information that is transmitted in response to the request; deciding a type of a messaging service for interworking based on the presence information; and delivering, by the CPM server, the message to an Interworking Function (IWF) that converts the message according to the decided type of the messaging service.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of efficiently inviting a subscription to contact information, the method including receiving a subscription invitation request of particular contact information of a first client from the first client; and determining whether a condition for allowing the subscription to the particular contact information is included in the subscription invitation request, and transmitting a subscription request containing address information by which the condition and the particular contact information can be received to a second client when the condition is included. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a communication service at a high speed in a communication system supporting various types of communication services without a waste of resources, power, or memories. Also, it is possible to provide a data transmission/reception method capable of easily and quickly providing a CAB service according to a selection by user's intention.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method are provided for managing XDM service information in an XDM client included in a user terminal of an OMA system. The apparatus includes a controller for creating a shared URI list including a static reference handle value for indicating the shared URI list, transmitting the shared URI list to a shared XDMS for storage as a reference for service information corresponding to a plurality of OMA services in accordance with the static reference handle value, and changing the at least one piece of the service information; a receiving device for receiving the request to create the shared URI list; and a transmitting device for transmitting the shared URI list to the shared XDMS. The service information includes at least one of RLS service information, PoC service information, and XDM service information.
Abstract:
A Converged-Internet Protocol (IP) Messaging (CPM) service provisioning method and system are provided including a CPM server. The CPM server includes an eXtension Markup Language (XML) Document Management (XDM) client for sending a request for preference information of a recipient terminal to which the CPM message is to be delivered, and receiving the preference information in response to the request from an XDM server that stores and manages the preference information of the recipient terminal; and an interworking selection entity for determining a non-CPM service to be subjected to interworking depending on the received preference information, and delivering the CPM message to an interworking server that interworks with the determined non-CPM service.
Abstract:
A method for requesting presence information from a presence source by a presence server is provided. The method includes transmitting a message requesting specific presence information to the presence source; and receiving, from the presence source, the specific presence information published by the presence source.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for selecting a location platform for a user equipment to roam and a method for determining the location of the user equipment using the same. The method for selecting a location platform includes: checking a visiting network of the UE in response to a location request message transmitted from the UE which is roaming; and selecting a location platform to calculate a location of the UE by comparing positioning capability information of the checked visiting network and positioning capability information of a home network of the UE. According to such a method, it is possible to efficiently perform the positioning of the UE, regardless of the location of the UE, thereby improving the quality of the positioning service.
Abstract:
Methods are provided for managing media in a PoC box in an aggregation proxy server for sending media to a PoC UE in a PoC system. The aggregation proxy server receives a PoC session control data request message, which is associated with media information stored in the PoC box from the PoC UE. The PoC session control data request message for requesting the media information stored in the PoC box is sent to the PoC box. The media information is received in an XML form from the PoC box in response to the PoC session control data request message, and the media information received from the PoC box is sent to the PoC UE. The media information includes a parameter related to a stored position of media stored in the PoC box.
Abstract:
A method for locating mobile terminals is provided. First, information of a home Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) of a target mobile terminal, the location of which is to be determined, is checked in response to a location service request from a client. Then, information of a visited PLMN, where the target mobile terminal is currently located, is checked based on the checked information of the home PLMN. The home PLMN calculates location assistance information of the visited PLMN using specific location information of the visited PLMN. The location assistance information is transferred to the target mobile terminal. This allows location information of a mobile terminal to be obtained irrespective of the area or communication network where the mobile terminal is located. It is thus possible to locate a mobile terminal in an area where no location assistance information is provided.
Abstract:
A method of providing location information of a target Secure User Plane Location (SUPL) Enabled Terminal (target SET) while protecting privacy of a user of the target SET in a Home-SUPL Location Center (H-SLC) providing the location information of the target SET, and the H-SLC, are provided. The method includes receiving a location request message from a requester, transmitting an SUPL INITiation (SUPL INIT) message by using a first session IDentifier (ID) to the target SET, the first session ID including a real ID of the target SET, transmitting a Positioning DATA (PDATA) message by using a second session ID to the Home-SUPL Positioning Center (H-SPC), the second session ID including a pseudo-ID for secure connection between the H-SLC and the H-SPC, receiving a positioning result of the target SET from the H-SPC, and transmitting the positioning result to the requester.
Abstract:
A method and a server for determining a location of a targeted mobile set using Secure User Plane Location (SUPL) in a wireless communications network are provided. The method includes receiving a request message requesting location information of the targeted mobile set, from a SUPL agent; sending a location initiation message (SUPL INIT) to the targeted mobile set in response to the received request message from the SUPL agent; determining a positioning method for the location service of the targeted mobile set after receiving a location capability from the targeted mobile set; and performing each of a plurality of positioning procedures by using the determined positioning method until a timer related to the determined positioning method is due or the target mobile set obtains a new positioning method, wherein the plurality of the positioning procedures are performed when an event of the targeted mobile set occurs or when triggered periodically.
