    摘要: A method for producing cross-linked polyethylene resin foams which comprises mixing a polyolefin resin, a blowing agent and, optionally, a surface active agent containing hydroxyl groups or an acid amide compound under pressure, said polyolefin resin containing a cross-linkable ethylene polymer having on the side chains thereof silyl groups which effect cross-linking upon contact with water; extruding the mixture into a low pressure zone where the extrudate is allowed to expand; and bringing the expanded extrudate into contact with a silanol condensing catalyst so that the expanded extrudate is cross-linked on contact with water.

    摘要: An ethylene copolymer comprising an ethylene unit and an ester unit selected from ethylenically .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated acid esters represented by the formula (I) or (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and R.sup.2 represents a halogenated alkyl group having from 1 to 15 carbon atoms; ##STR2## wherein R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and n represents 0 or 1,wherein said ester unit is present in a total amount of from 0.001 to 10 mol %. The copolymer has excellent dielectric breakdown characteristics, such as electricity treeing property, water treeing property, etc., and is useful as an insulating material for high-voltage cables.

In an electric power generating apparatus for dispersed power supply including a permanent magnet type electric power generator having a plurality of windings inducing different effective values of induced voltages and individual rectifiers for rectifying alternating current outputs of the permanent magnet type electric power generator, a capacitor is connected in series between the individual rectifier and the alternating current output terminal of the winding inducing higher effective value of induced voltage among the plurality of windings in a manner that serial impedances of the capacitor and the permanent magnet type electric power generator become capacitive within the range of rated rotational speed of said permanent magnet type electric power generator.

    摘要: In a thermo-shrinkable polyester film, the thermal shrinkage ratio in a main shrinking direction is about 20% or more after being treated in water of about 70.degree. C. for about seconds, about 35 to about 55% after treated in water of about 75.degree. C. for about 5 seconds, and about 50 to about 60% after being treated in water of about 80.degree. C. for about 5 seconds. After the film is shrunk by about 5% by treatment in water of about 75.degree. C. for about 10 seconds, the probability of the elongation at rupture of the film in the direction perpendicular to the main shrinking direction being about 20% or less, is about 10% or less. The ratio of .tau..sub.1 /.tau..sub.2 is about 0.05 to about 0.45, where .tau..sub.2 is the stress of shrinkage in a main shrinking direction of the film at about 90.degree. C., and .tau..sub.1 is the stress of shrinkage in a direction perpendicular to the main shrinking direction of the film at about 90.degree. C. The sealing strength of the film is about 1.2 kg/15 mm of width or more.
