    Abstract: A parking management system includes: a mobile terminal including a user information storage unit, a first reception unit configured to receive a signal including identification information of a parking section, a time identifying unit configured to identify a specific time including at least one of a parking start time and a parking end time of a vehicle based on a detection result from a sensor unit, and a transmission unit configured to transmit parking information including the user information, the identification information, and the specific time; and a server including a second reception unit configured to receive the parking information from the mobile terminal, and a parking identifying unit configured to identify a user of the vehicle, a parking position, and the specific time based on the received parking information.

    Abstract: A technique for managing parking of vehicles at a lower cost is disclosed. A parking management system includes a terminal device and a server device. The terminal device includes: a storage unit that stores user information; a reading unit that reads identification information of a parking space from a code associated with the parking space, and a transmission unit that transmits, to the server device, parking position information which includes the stored user information and the read identification information. The server device includes: a receiving unit that receives the parking position information from the terminal device; and an identifying unit that identifies a position where a vehicle is parked and a user of the parked vehicle, based on the received parking position information.

    Abstract: A parking lot includes: a parking spot; and an identification code that corresponds to the parking spot, wherein the identification code is installed to exist within a predetermined range, the predetermined range being such a range that, when a camera captures an image of the identification code, the image captured by the camera can include an image of a license plate of a vehicle parked in the parking spot, and the predetermined range being a range where the camera can capture the image in such size that a vehicle registration number and the identification code are identifiable based on the image captured by the camera.

    Abstract: An apparatus for collecting data for map generation includes a memory configured to store type information for designating which type of collection target data is to be collected for each of road sections. The collection target data represents a feature in the road section on a map to be generated or updated. The apparatus also includes a processor configured to notify the vehicle of the type information with the communication device, and update the type information for each of the road sections, in the case that collection of the collection target data of the type designated for the road section has been completed, so as to stop collection of the collection target data in the road section.

The server device includes a storage unit configured to store a master map in which a necessity of data collection for each of a plurality of unit ranges included in a plurality of segments is represented by a binary value; and a server control unit configured to extract from the master map a segment corresponding to a position of the probe vehicle, and to transmit the segment to the probe vehicle as a partial map. The probe vehicle includes a data obtaining unit configured to obtain the data; and a vehicle control unit configured to identify a unit range requiring data collection based on the partial map received from the server device, and to transmit the data obtained in the unit range to the server device.
