    摘要: A battery module includes a plurality of unit batteries disposed apart at intervals and a plurality of barriers interposed between the unit batteries. Each of the barriers includes a base supported on the unit battery and a plurality of protrusions extending from the base and contacting the unit battery. The protrusions are formed of an insulation material. In addition, the protrusions may be fixed onto the base in a staggered arrangement along columns and rows so that a certain angular arrangement between the alignment of protrusions is achieved, thereby maximizing cooling efficiency.

The housing includes: a unit cell receptor for receiving the unit cells, the unit cell receptor having an inner space with an inner spatial section area perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the housing; and a cooling medium circulator having an inner space for circulating a cooling medium, the inner space being in communication with the inner space of the unit cell receptor and having an inner spatial section area perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the housing. The inner spatial section area of the unit cell receptor is larger than the inner spatial section area of the circulator.
