    摘要: Novel organopolysiloxanes having one silanol group within a molecule and the method for manufacturing them at high purity and high yield. The organopolysiloxanes having a silanol group are expressed by the formula (1) below: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group with 1 to 8 carbon atoms, each of R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group with 1 to 8 carbon atoms or a siloxyl group expressed by --OSiR.sup.5 R.sup.7, wherein R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are monovalent hydrocarbon groups with 1 to 8 carbon atoms, Y is either a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a monovalent hydrocarbon group with 1 to 12 carbon atoms, n is an integer of from 0 to 12, and a is either 0 or 1, with the proviso that the grouping Y--(CH.sub.2).sub.n --Si does not includes H--Si, CH.sub.3 --Si or a hydrolyzable silyl group.

    摘要: A contact lens material comprising a condensation polymer having a recurring unit represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is --C(CF.sub.3).sub.2 -- or ##STR2## R.sup.2 is a group represented by the formula: ##STR3## in which l is an integer of 1 to 3, m is an integer of 1 to 15 and n is an integer of 1 to 3, ##STR4## in which u is an integer of 1 to 3 and v is an integer of 1 to 3, a group represented by the formula (II): ##STR5## wherein R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are the same or different and each is hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, or a group represented by the formula (III): ##STR6## wherein R.sup.7 is --C(CF.sub.3).sub.2 --, ##STR7## or a direct bond, and R.sup.8 and R.sup.9 are the same or different and each is an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, a fluoroalkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group or carboxyl group. The contact lens material is excellent in transparency, having high oxygen permeability and moreover, excellent in heat resistance, ultraviolet-ray absorbing property and forming and processing property.

    摘要: Resins having a group reactive with an isocyanate group on a side chain are modified with isocyanatosiloxanes. In one form, the isocyanatosiloxane is a single end isocyanatosiloxane obtained by effecting addition reaction between a single end hydrogenosiloxane and an isocyanate group-containing organic silicon compound having one isocyanate group and at least one aliphatic unsaturated hydrocarbon group. A single end isocyanatosiloxane obtained by introducing an isocyanate group into a single end primary aminosiloxane is also useful. In another form, the isocyanatosiloxane is a polyfunctional isocyanatosiloxane which is obtained by effecting addition reaction between a hydrogenosiloxane having at least two SiH groups and an isocyanate group-containing organic silicon compound having one isocyanate group and one aliphatic unsaturated hydrocarbon group.
