摘要： A video processing device overlays appropriate presentation data over video images, even if the size of the display area for 3D video images differs from the size of the display area for presentation data that is to be presented with the 3D video images. The video processing device generates left- and right-view images from a 3D video stream, enlarges presentation data obtained from a relevant data stream to scale its display size to match the display size of video images, applying an offset value, which is determined to cause a specific parallax, to the thus enlarged presentation data to generate left- and right-view presentation data, and overlays the left-view presentation data over the left-view images and the right-view presentation data over the right-view images to display video images resulting from the overlaying.

摘要： To provide a content playback device capable of, when playing back a content distributed in a streaming format via a network whose view mode is selectable among a plurality of view modes, presenting to a user the switchability between the view modes, thereby to improve the user's convenience. The content playback device includes a reception unit that receives, from the content distribution system, control information indicating a plurality of view modes selectable for viewing the video content, a presentation unit that presents, to a user, the view modes as options of a view mode for viewing the video content, an input reception unit that receives an input selecting one view mode among the view modes from the user; and a request unit that requests the content distribution system to distribute the video content in the streaming format, by transmitting information indicating the selected view mode to the content distribution system.

摘要： A content playback device reduces user discomfort, relative to conventional devices, when playback is interrupted and resumed after switching viewing modes, pieces of content representing different viewing modes for a common product, and differing in video length or having other differences. The content playback device receives and plays back streaming content from a content server delivering two pieces of content having different viewing modes for the common product, and comprises: a selection unit selecting a viewing mode; a determination unit determining whether playback of a first piece of content not having the selected viewing mode was interrupted; a conversion unit converting, when the determination unit has determined affirmatively, a playback interrupt position into a corresponding position in a second piece of content having the selected viewing mode; and a request unit making a request to the content server for transmission of the second piece of content from the corresponding position.

摘要： A surface position detection device that detects a surface position of a detection target surface (Wa) includes a projection system (1˜6) that projects a light flux onto the detection target surface from a diagonal direction, a light-receiving system (7˜14) that receives a light flux reflected from the detection target surface, and a means for light flux deflection (6, 7), which includes an even number of reflection surfaces to allow an incident light flux to exit at an angle not parallel to the incident light flux. The means for light flux deflection is disposed either in the optical path of the projection system or the optical path of the light-receiving system. The surface position of the detection target surface is detected based upon an output from the light-receiving system. Any deterioration in the detection accuracy attributable to outside vibration can be successfully prevented.
