Abstract: A device may receive, from a network device, a user equipment (UE) parameter update request notification indicating an update to a UE parameter of a universal subscriber identity module (USIM), and may generate an encrypted UE parameter update request. The device may cause the encrypted UE parameter update request to be provided to the USIM to cause the USIM to update the UE parameter and to generate an encrypted UE parameter update response. The device may receive, from the network device, the encrypted UE parameter update response, and may verify an authenticity of content of the encrypted UE parameter update response based on whether the encrypted UE parameter update response is signed by the USIM. The device may provide, to the network device, a result indicating whether the UE parameter is updated and whether the authenticity of the content of the encrypted UE parameter update response is verified.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide stateless network functions for a wireless core network. A network device in the wireless core network receives, from a network function instance in a set of network function instances, context information and state maintenance parameters for an end device. The state maintenance parameters include one or more timer values for the end device, and an action to be performed upon expiry of the one or more timer values. The network device stores the context information and the state maintenance parameters, and applies the state maintenance parameters to the context information for the end device. The network device performs the action when expiry of the one or more timer values is detected.

The first network device installs, at a second network device, the first management instance, along with the first pointer value. The first network device changes the first pointer value in response to a first event associated with the wireless network or one or more other networks. The first pointer value is used for selecting at least one management instance, among a plurality of management instances that include the first management instance, for servicing wireless service requests from UEs to the wireless network.

Abstract: An example method can include receiving, by a device, single-network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI) associated with a user equipment. The S-NSSAI can be associated with a network. The method can include determining location information associated with the user equipment, determining that a network slice instance (NSI) is to be created for the S-NSSAI, and creating an NSI based on a network service (NS) associated with the user equipment. The NSI can be created using a network function virtualization orchestrator (NFVO), associated with the network, that allocates resources, of the network, for the NSI according to the NS.

Abstract: A device may receive data indicating a required quality of service (QoS), and may receive radio access network (RAN) information associated with a RAN, wherein the RAN information is provided by a centralized unit (CU) of the RAN. The device may provide the RAN information to a multi-access edge computing (MEC) platform, and may receive, from the MEC platform, a QoS request that requests the required QoS. The device may provide the QoS request to the CU, and may receive a QoS response to the QoS request. The device may provide the QoS response to a policy control function (PCF) of a core network, and may receive an indication of approval of the QoS response from the PCF. The device may cause, based on receiving the indication of approval, the required QoS to be implemented by the MEC platform and network devices associated with the core network.

Abstract: A device receives a message requesting establishment of packet data unit (PDU) session for an end device and determines that the message identifies particular performance requirements relating to the requested PDU session. The device initiates dynamic instantiation of one or more functional components at a configurable control node based on the particular performance requirements. The device then establishes the PDU session using the dynamically instantiated of one or more functional components.
