摘要： In an electronic apparatus control system provided with: a plurality of electronic apparatuses connected to a network covering a predetermined area; and a controller for controlling these electronic apparatuses, the controller (11) is provided with: a generating device for generating a group key peculiar to the network (18) in order to encrypt the information flowing through the network (18); and a wireless unit (21) for transmitting the generated group key to a plurality of the electronic apparatuses. The electronic apparatus is provided with: a memory device for storing the group key transmitted; an encrypting device for encrypting the information flowing through the network (18) using the group key; and a decoding device for decoding the encrypted information using the group key. Owing to this construction, it is possible to present a copy protection improved in the maintainability and reduced in the cost, for protecting copyright effectively even in a case that information is flown out of the network (18).

摘要： An apparatus for generating a recording signal by converting an image signal and outputting the generated recording signal to an external device is provided. The image signal included image data corresponding to an image to be displayed on a display. The image data includes a plurality of data pieces each corresponding to a different one of a plurality of image elements which compose the image. The apparatus includes: a control information placing device for placing a control information piece onto one of the plurality of data pieces corresponding to one of the plurality of image elements that is to be located at an outer edge portion of the image when the image is displayed on the display screen; and a generating device for generating the recording signal including the control information piece. The control information piece includes information to control an operation of the external device.

According to the reproduction apparatus of the present invention, when there is selected a data group comprising data units, there are consecutively read out the first identification information for identifying the selected data group and the second identification information for identifying the data group recorded in the data unit, to which the data unit belongs, and there is reproduced information of the data unit having the second identification information identical with the first identification information.

摘要： A watermark information embedding method, and apparatus, capable of suppressing the quality degradation of contents and increasing the survivability of embedded information. When embedding watermark information in moving picture data formed of a plurality of still picture frames arranged in time series, a motion vector representing a property specific to moving picture is detected for each of image blocks generated by dividing a target frame. According to a motion quantity, a pixel change factor specifying rule is selected for each block. Out of pixels permitted to be changed in luminance depending upon the state of an image in each block representing a property specific to still picture, as many pixels as a number specified by the selected rule are selected. Luminance change processing for forming watermark information is conducted on the selected pixels.

The apparatus comprises: a read device for reading the record information from the recording disk; a first determination device for determining whether the identification information included in the read record information indicates the never copy or the copy free; a second determination device for determining whether the recording disk is a recording disk of a recordable type or a recording disk of a read-only type; an output control device for determining on the basis of determinations of the first determination device and the second determination device whether outputting the read record information is permitted or prohibited; and an output device for outputting the read record information in accordance with a determination of the output control device.

This apparatus is provided with an auxiliary embedding circuit 10 of or embedding second digital watermark information in the information data; a blocking circuit 12 for dividing into the unit blocks the changed information data signal obtained by the auxiliary embedding circuit; and a main embedding circuit 20 for embedding first digital watermark information in the changed information data signal for each of the divided blocks. The second digital watermark information bears information for identifying the position of the divided unit block in a predetermined section of the information data signal. On the basis of the second watermark information, a detecting apparatus effects proper blocking with respect to the information data signal with the watermark embedded therein, so as to detect the first watermark information.

摘要： An information reproducing apparatus has a read device, is capable of reproducing sub picture information and is also capable of performing a highlight display of the sub picture information. In an information record medium to be reproduced by this reproducing apparatus, at least the sub picture information and reproduction control information to control a reproduction of the sub picture information are recorded on the record track such that the sub picture information and the reproduction control information are divided into a plurality of groups. Each of the groups is a predetermined unit able to be accessed by the information reproducing apparatus, and has a sub picture pack in which the sub picture information is contained and a control pack in which the reproduction control information is contained. The reproduction control information includes (i) highlight display control information prescribing at least one of the highlight display of the sub picture information and an operation control corresponding to the sub picture information and (ii) time management information indicating times to manage a start time and an end time respectively of at least one of an effective time period during which the highlight display is effective and an effective time period during which the operation control is effective.
