    Abstract: Provided are a method and a device for anchoring media in a voice call continuity service. The method includes: dividing media carried in a multimedia type session into a first type of media and a second type of media, wherein the first type of media is media which is supported by an ATGW, and the second type of media is media which is not supported by the ATGW; and anchoring the first type of media to the ATGW and transparently transmitting the second type of media.
