    摘要: The present invention relates to a spray dried plasma composition having one or more of the following characteristics: when reconstituted, largely amorphous and has no cholesterol crystals; when reconstituted, the number of large particulates is reduced; has low residual moisture; reconstitutes rapidly in under four minutes; highly stable when stored under refrigeration, at room temperature or at elevated temperatures and allows for storage for longer periods of time; when reconstituted, exhibits recovery of the most fragile of proteins, including von Willebrand's factor; when reconstituted with Sterile Water for Injection (SWFI), reconstituted plasma is at a pH that is near normal plasma pH, and does so without treatment or storage in CO2 or other pH adjustment; and when reconstituted, has reduced complement activation (C5A, C3A).

    摘要: A system and method for removing impurities to reconstitute a NaCl stream to a saturated solution salt solution and remove any impurities such as sodium bisulfite (NaHSO3), sodium chlorate (NaClO3) and sodium iodide (NaI) to improve brine quality from an electrolytic cell is disclosed, including an evaporation system connected to the electrolytic cell, a brine treatment system connected to the evaporation system and the electrolytic cell. A waste treatment system is connected to the evaporation system. The evaporation system includes a set of evaporators that concentrates the brine. Sodium chloride is precipitated from the set of evaporators to the brine treatment system. Impurities are precipitated from the set of evaporators. The brine treatment system includes a hydrocyclone and a centrifuge that separates sodium chloride from water. The sodium chloride is mixed with water to create a concentrated and purified brine.

    摘要: This present invention provides a spray dryer for use in preparing particles for inhalation, the spray dryer comprising a multi-nozzle apparatus comprising multiple single nozzles suitable for use in preparing inhalation powders and with a drying gas flow rate greater than about 80 kg/h. Also provided is a method for scaling-up a spray drying process for preparing particles for inhalation from a smaller scale spray dryer to a larger scale spray dryer, relative in size to each other, the method comprising the use in the larger scale spray dryer of a multi-nozzle apparatus comprising single nozzles suitable for use in preparing inhalation powders, wherein the number of nozzles in the larger spray dryer is determined by the ratio of the drying gas flow rate of the larger scale spray dryer to the drying gas flow rate of the smaller scale spray dryer. Also provided is a multi-nozzle apparatus produced from the method of the present invention, the multi-nozzle apparatus comprising multiple single nozzles suitable for use in preparing inhalation powders. Also provided is the use of multiple single nozzles suitable for use in preparing inhalation powders in a spray dryer with a drying gas flow rate greater than about 80 kg/h. The nozzles used in the present invention preferably prepare particles with a mean particle size less than about 5 microns.
