A flue gas purification system for hazardous waste incineration and a purification method are provided. The flue gas purification system includes a cooling deacidification coupling device. The cooling deacidification coupling device includes a reaction tower. A top of the reaction tower is installed with a spraying device, an inlet end of the spraying device is connected to a first liquid inlet pipe and a second liquid inlet pipe, the first liquid inlet pipe and the second liquid inlet pipe are configured to transmit a cooling substance and a deacidification substance. The reaction tower is connected to a gas inlet pipe and a gas outlet pipe. A bottom of the reaction tower is connected to an output pipe configured to output substances generated in the reaction tower. The spraying device is configured to mix the cooling substance and the deacidification substance with the flue gas.

The method generally includes calculating a running long term average of NOx emissions, calculating a running short term average of NOx emissions and automatically adjusting an instantaneous NOx setpoint based on the running long term and short term averages to ensure compliance with a permit limit. The ammonia dosing requirement is based on a chemical mass-balance approach, and accuracy is enhanced by adjusting for the NO2 to NO composition of NOx.

A drying/crushing device (dryer 21, crusher 22) for drying and crushing the organic matter O1 prior to charging the radioactive cesium-contaminated organic matter to the rotary kiln can be provided. Additionally, a reforming/drying/crushing device (reformer 31, dryer 32, crusher 23) for reforming, drying, and crushing the inorganic matter S1 can be provided. During burning of the organic matter O3 together with the inorganic matter S4, a calcium source can be added as a reaction accelerant A to the rotary kiln.

Methods for the heat treatment of a material flow and the cleaning of resulting exhaust gases are disclosed. The material flow may be preheated in a preheating zone, burned in a sintering zone, and cooled in a cooling zone. Exhaust gases of the sintering zone may flow through a preheater and be used for preheating the material flow. The exhaust gases leaving the preheater may be cooled at least partially in a comminuting device in interconnected operation or at least partially in a cooling device in direct operation. Exhaust gases may then be at least partly dedusted in a dust filter. A temperature of the dedusted exhaust gas may then be raised before the exhaust gas is cleaned of pollutants in at least one catalyst. A temperature at which the exhaust gases flow through the catalyst in direct operation may be higher, at least in phases, than a temperature at which the exhaust gases flow through the catalyst in interconnected operation.
