    摘要: A cutting insert for threading of the present invention includes two opposing end surfaces and a peripheral side surface extending therebetween. The peripheral side surface has a first side surface portion and a second side surface portion arranged at different positions in a circumferential direction. A cutting edge is formed at an intersecting ridgeline portion between the first end surface and the first side surface portion and at least a portion of this cutting edge has a shape corresponding to a thread groove. The second side surface portion has an inclined portion which enlarges outward from the side of the first end surface toward the side of the second end surface. This inclined portion is configured to engage with a side wall surface of a tool body so as to prevent floating of the cutting insert.

    摘要: An indexable cutting insert for chip removing machining includes a plurality of cutting tips that protrude from a central core. Each of the individual tips include a cutting edge, which is formed in a transition between an upper side serving as chip surface and a clearance surface, which extends between the upper side and an under side. The cutting insert has six equally long cutting tips that are located in pairs along the co-ordinate axes of a three-dimensional, orthogonal system of co-ordinates, the origin of which is situated in the core. By arranging the cutting tips in this way, the inactive cutting tips, which are situated behind an active cutting tip, can be contained within a limited volume and therefore be installed in tool basic bodies having tapering parts. A tool equipped with the cutting insert according to the invention, as well as, a tool basic body is disclosed.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a tool system that has a holder with a supply device for cooling lubricant, a cutting tool which has a tool cutter and a fixing part, and a tensioning device which has a tension screw by which a tension force acting upon the cutting tool can be produced for the purpose of fixing the cutting tool in position on the holder. A support face is realized on the holder for direct bearing contact of the fixing part of the cutting tool that is pressed-on by the tensioning screw, and a fluid space which adjoins this support face is delimited by wall parts of the bearing fixing part of the cutting tool and is fluidically connected to the supply device for cooling lubricant, and from which cooling lubricant can be passed on to the region of the main cutter via a channel which, provided in the cutting tool, comes from the adjoining wall of the fixing part.

    摘要: A three-way indexable throwaway tip for deep-hole drilling can be used as a center cutting blade body for a drill head in either whole cutting type or uncut core break-off type applications. The throwaway tip for deep-hole drilling is of a thick plate body having a three-fold symmetry with three cutting sections that are rotationally spaced apart at a central angle of 120 degrees. When mounted on a drill head, one cutting section of the throwaway tip faces a drilling direction. The forward facing blade edge of that cutting section includes an inner blade edge shorter in blade length and an outer blade edge longer in blade length forming an apex. The outer blade edge is composed of two consecutive blade edge portions of a peak-side outer blade edge portion having a smaller outer blade edge angle and a corner-side outer blade edge portion having a larger outer blade edge angle.

    摘要: A drill for chip removing machining, including a drill body, and a replaceable cutting insert mounted in a pocket formed in a front tip of the drill body. A chip flute extends backwardly from the pocket along the drill body, and the cutting insert is fixed in the pocket by a screw including a head and a shank having a male thread. The cutting insert includes a through hole extending between a topside and an underside. The hole has a basic shape that is rotationally symmetrical in relation to a center axis, and is delimited by a series of surfaces including a mouth surface, converging downward from the topside, and a shoulder surface. The head of the screw is kept pressed against the shoulder surface when the male thread of the screw is tightened in a female thread included in a hole that mouths in a bottom of the pocket. The mouth surface in the hole of the cutting insert has a trumpet-like, cross section-wise convex shape adjacent to the topside of the cutting insert.
