Abstract:
A floor panel is of synthetic material and forms a layer-shaped substrate with first and second pairs of opposite edges. The first pair of opposite edges has coupling parts forming a first mechanical locking system, which, in a coupled condition of two of such floor panels, effects a locking in the plane of the floor panels and perpendicular to the respective edges, and forms a second mechanical locking system, which, in a coupled condition of two of such floor panels, effects a locking transverse to the plane of the panels. The coupling parts on the first pair of opposite edges are realized substantially in the material of the floor panel itself. The floor panel is provided with an edge configuration on the second pair of edges allowing two of such floor panels to be positioned with their respective edge alongside each other and free from mechanical horizontally active locking systems.
Abstract:
A vertical joint system for substrates is formed with joints and which engaged by relative motion in a direction perpendicular to major surfaces and of the substrate. The joints are configured to enable relative rotation of up to 3 degrees while maintaining engagement of the joints. The joints and are further configured to form two locking planes one on each of the inner and outer most sides of the joint. Engagement about the locking planes is provided by transverse outward extending surfaces. At least one surface in each pair of engaging surfaces is smoothly curved. The joints and can be further arranged to provide a third locking plane parallel to and between the locking planes. The joints are disengaged by combination of a downward rotation of one joint relative the other then application of a downward force.
Abstract:
A method of fabricating a protected construction panel prior to the construction panel being used in construction, the method comprising applying a removable coating onto a surface of the construction panel to form a removable coating layer on said construction panel. A construction panel for use in the construction of a building or the like comprising a removable coating layer located on a surface of said construction panel.
Abstract:
A set of essentially identical floorboards each including a front face and a rear face extending in the horizontal plane, a core, and a surface layer, a mechanical locking system is arranged at least at two opposite edges for connecting a floorboard with an adjacent floorboard in a horizontal and a vertical direction, said mechanical locking system being configured for connecting the floorboard with the adjacent floorboard by vertical folding, wherein one of said opposite edges is provided with a horizontally extending protrusion at an upper edge, and wherein said protrusion is configured to overlap a surface groove at an upper edge of the other of said opposite edges, such that two connected and adjacent floorboards have upper overlapping edges.
Abstract:
A composite flooring system, and method of manufacture, including a multi-element flooring diaphragm including a plurality of self-spacing surface elements mounted above a semi-rigid substrate surface using a plurality of flexible adhesive support cushions that define an air space between the multi-element flooring diaphragm and the semi-rigid substrate surface, wherein outer edge surfaces of the self-spacing surface elements are beveled and flexible surface joints of v-shaped cross-section formed between abutting self-spacing surface elements, and wherein the combination of rigid or semi-rigid self-spacing surface elements and the flexible surface joints form a substantially waterproof diaphragm as a finished surface.
Abstract:
A tile for covering an area which interlocks with an adjacent tile includes a main body having a top surface and a bottom surface disposed opposite the top surface. The main body has at least a first lateral side and a second lateral side. The tile includes a plurality of spaced apart male connectors situated on the first lateral side, and a plurality of spaced apart female receptacles situated on the second lateral side. The tile further includes a plurality of spaced apart wedge-shaped projections and a plurality of spaced apart complementary-shaped slots. Each slot is situated on either the first lateral side or the second lateral side of the main body in between either adjacent male connectors or adjacent female receptacles. Similarly, each projection is situated either on the first lateral side or the second lateral side of the main body in between either adjacent female receptacles or adjacent male connectors. The male connectors of the tile are engageable with female receptacles of an adjacent tile so that the tile may interlock with the adjacent tile. Also, the projections of the tile are receivable by slots of the adjacent tile to help prevent the tiles from curling, separating and/or peeling.
Abstract:
The floor member has a closed-cell foam core that constitutes approximately 50% of the overall thickness of the floor member. All constituents of the floor member, including a design layer, wear layer and resilient foam plastic underlayer, are highly water resistant and essentially water repellant. The closed-cell foam core is relatively lightweight and the floor member is also relatively lightweight compared to equally dimensioned floor planks formed exclusively of solid laminated plastic materials or wood-based laminated materials. The floor member has edge connecting means for convenient floating floor installation without the need to adhere the floor member to a floor base. The floor member is also easy to handle to permit a do-it-yourselfer to install a floor covering with the floor member.

A foam base with a connection structure includes the foam base and a connection member. The connection member includes an adhesive connection portion and a folding portion. The adhesive connection portion is adhered to the foam base so that the connection member is fixed on the foam base. The folding portion is used to connect another adjacent foam base. Before connection, the folding portion is folded and only has a portion extending out of the foam base for transportation and storage.
