Abstract: A harmonic drive of an electromechanical camshaft adjusters includes a drive wheel designed as a ring gear; an internally toothed output element mounted with radial play in the drive wheel; a further internally toothed element fastened to the drive wheel, the internal toothing of which has a diameter corresponding to the internal toothing of the output element; an adjuster assembly which is formed from a wave generator; an externally toothed flexible gear element which can be deformed by said wave generator, the external toothing of this flexible gear element meshing both with the internal toothing of the output element and with the internal toothing of the further element; an annular gap being formed between the further internally toothed element and an inner peripheral surface of a recess of the drive wheel. The width of the annular gap is at least partially greater than a radial play of the output element.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to obtain a controller device for a variable valve timing apparatus capable of controlling a phase to an arbitrary fixed valve timing from immediately before an internal combustion engine stops until after the internal combustion engine has stopped. The controller device for the variable valve timing apparatus according to the present invention performs, during engine stop processing of the internal combustion engine, normal control of changing the relative rotational phase of a camshaft to a most advanced position or a most retarded position when the rotational speed of a crankshaft is equal to or more than a first threshold, and low-speed control of fixing a current or a voltage supplied to the motor to be constant to maintain the relative rotational phase of the camshaft at the most advanced position or the most retarded position in a period from when the rotational speed of the crankshaft is lower than the first threshold until the rotational speed becomes zero.

Abstract: A valve timing adjustment device includes: a driving rotating body that rotates with a crankshaft; a driven rotating body that rotates with a camshaft; a reduction mechanism configured to change a relative rotation phase of the driving rotating body and the driven rotating body by a driving force of an actuator; and a filter unit capable of capturing a foreign matter contained in lubricating fluid supplied into the reduction mechanism.
