    摘要: Many people active and inactive can't readily control their audio experience without reaching into a pocket or some other location to change a setting or answer the phone. The problem is the lack of convenience and the inaccessibility when the user is riding his motorcycle, skiing, bicycling, jogging, or even walking with winter gloves on, etc. The electronic control glove described here enables enhanced control over electronic devices wirelessly at all times from the user's fingertips. The glove is manufactured with electrical conducive materials along the fingers and the thumb, where contact with the thumb and finger conductive materials creates a closed circuit which is transmitted to a control device on the glove that can then wirelessly transmit messages to remote electronic devices such as cell phones, audio players, garage door openers, military hardware and software, in work environments, and so forth.

    摘要: A one-handed thumb-supported mobile input device for a computing device includes an input mechanism and a thumb loop or an elastic band in which a thumb of a hand may be inserted. The thumb loop or elastic band is attached to an adjustable thumb loop holder that is enclosed within a thumb loop holder and is adjustable with respect to the thin sections of the input mechanism. The thumb loop holder is attached to one of the sections of the input mechanism. The input mechanism has a folded position and an unfolded position, and includes a number of thin sections containing a number of keys, and which may have one or more folds. The device may further include a display mechanism having a folded position and an unfolded position, and including a thin section containing a display and that is foldable with respect to the sections of the input mechanism.

    摘要: A finger-mounted data entry device that allows a user to enter information into a computing device without using a keyboard and a method of using the data entry device. The data entry device includes thumb contacts and finger contacts. The thumb contacts are positioned on the user's thumbs such that the thumb contacts represent rows of keys on a standard keyboard: a first thumb contact representing a base row of keys; a second thumb contact representing an upper row of keys; and a third thumb contact representing a lower row of keys. The finger contacts are positioned on each of the user's fingers such that touching one of the finger contacts with the first thumb contact generates a signal that is equivalent to the signal that would be generated if the user used touch typing to press a key in the base row of keys on the standard keyboard using the same finger, touching one of the finger contacts with the second thumb contact generates a signal that is equivalent to the signal that would be generated if the user used touch typing to press a key in the upper row of keys on the standard keyboard using the same finger, and touching one of the finger contacts with the third thumb contact generates a signal that is equivalent to the signal that would be generated if the user used touch typing to press a key in the lower row of keys on the standard keyboard using the same finger.

    摘要: A multi-switch control device is useful for controlling a variety of functions on a variety of vehicle subsystems or peripheral devices. The control device includes a specifically contoured base portion that enhances the usability of the device without distracting the vehicle operator from the task of driving. In one embodiment, a plurality of grooves are provided for receiving the fingers of the user of the device and a switch is provided within each groove that is readily usable by an individual regardless of the specific size of their fingers. Another embodiment includes a plurality of raised beads or grooves that provide a tactile indication of the position of the user's fingers on the device. The contoured portions also provide the ability of the user to make adjustments to a selected vehicle subsystem through conventional "touch-pad" technology.
