Abstract: A technique for cancelling or reducing crosstalk signals between controlled oscillators in an integrated circuit is provided. The technique involves an arrangement adapted to reduce a crosstalk signal generated by a first controlled oscillator to a second oscillator both comprised in the integrated circuit, wherein both controlled oscillators are configured to output a respective clock signal. The arrangement comprises a detector adapted to detect the crosstalk signal generated by the first controlled oscillator to the second controlled oscillator, a crosstalk cancellation circuit adapted to generate a cancellation signal having an amplitude substantially the same as that of the crosstalk signal and a phase substantially opposite to that of the crosstalk signal, and a cancellation signal injector adapted to introduce the cancellation signal into the second controlled oscillator.

Abstract: A signal transmission and reception element transmits and receives a differential signal. Two transmission lines transmit the differential signal between the signal transmission and reception element and a connector. The signal transmission and reception element is connected to an external apparatus with the connector interposed therebetween. A noise generation source generates noise in a wireless band, which is coupled to the transmission lines. An antenna has a gain in a frequency band of the noise which is generated in the noise generation source. A wireless signal processing circuit processes a signal received by the antenna. An absorption-type filter that is mounted on the transmission lines absorbs noise mixed in the transmission lines.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for estimating and compensating TX LO leakage using circuitry on a loopback path connecting the transmitter and receiver are provided. The TX LO leakage may be estimated by measuring the DC signal on the receiver, measuring the phase difference between the received LO signal and the receiver LO signal, and filtering LO harmonics that may arise from the use of non-linear mixers. The DC signal on the receiver may be measured by opening and closing the loopback path, or changing the gain of the loopback path, or flipping the phase of looped back TX signal. The method may be used in an initialization or tracking calibration scheme.

Abstract: A clock signal generating apparatus detects a phase difference between an input reference clock signal and a feedback signal to output a control signal based on the phase difference, generates the clock signal with a frequency based on the output control signal, generates a pattern by switching, at a certain time interval, between a plurality of patterns of a second phase shift amount, adds a first phase shift amount to the second phase shift amount having the generated pattern, determines a phase to be selected, so that a cycle of the phase-shifted clock signal matches the cycle of a clock signal changed by the first phase shift amount to which the second phase shift amount is added, selects the determined phase from among a plurality of phases, and generates a phase-shifted clock signal whose signal level changes in the selected phase for output as the feedback signal.
