摘要: A current sensor integrated circuit includes a lead frame having a primary conductor and at least one secondary lead, a semiconductor die disposed adjacent to the primary conductor, an insulation structure disposed between the primary conductor and the semiconductor die, and a non-conductive insulative material enclosing the semiconductor die, the insulation structure, a first portion of the primary conductor, and a first portion of the at least one secondary lead to form a package. The first portion of the at least one secondary lead (between a first end proximal to the primary conductor and a second end proximal to the second, exposed portion of the at least one secondary lead) has a thickness that is less than a thickness of the second, exposed portion of the least one secondary lead. A distance between the second, exposed portion of the primary conductor and the second, exposed portion of the at least one secondary lead is at least 7.2 mm.

摘要: A control circuit for generating a feedforward control signal based on an input voltage includes a divider coupled to the input voltage to generate a divided voltage and a first buffer responsive to the divided voltage to generate a buffered voltage at an output of the first buffer. The control circuit also includes a first capacitor coupled to the first buffer output and configured to generate a feedforward current when there is a variation in the input voltage and a current mirror circuit including a current mirror output node at which a current mirror output voltage indicative of the input voltage variation is generated. A digitizing circuit is responsive to the current mirror output voltage to generate the feedforward control signal. A DC-DC converter and a method for generating a feedforward control signal based on an input voltage are also provided.

摘要: A magnetic field sensor for sensing a direction of a magnetic field in an x-y plane, can include a first plurality of magnetic field sensing elements operable to generate a first plurality of magnetic field signals and a second plurality of magnetic field sensing elements operable to generate a second plurality of magnetic field signals. The magnetic field sensor can also include at least one sequence switches circuit operable to select ones of the first plurality of magnetic field signals and to select ones of the second plurality of magnetic field signals. The magnetic field sensor can also include a processing circuit operable to combine the selected ones of the first plurality of magnetic field signals and the selected ones of the second plurality of magnetic field signals to generate at least one sequential signal and to process the at least one sequential signal to generate an x-y angle signal indicative of a direction of the magnetic field in the x-y direction. An associated method is described.

摘要: An apparatus comprises one or more substrates and one or more coils. At least one of the coils is configured to produce a first magnetic field that induces eddy currents in a conductive target, which generates a reflected magnetic field. One or more magnetic field sensing elements supported by the one or more substrates detect the reflected magnetic field. A conductive support structure supports the one or more substrates. The support structure includes a gap in an area adjacent to the one or more coils so that the support structure does not generate a reflected magnetic field in response to the first magnetic field.

摘要: Apparatus including a regulator configured to generate a regulated output and a diagnostic circuit configured to generate a diagnostic signal indicative of whether the regulator is able to maintain regulation is described. The regulator includes an amplifier having a first input responsive to a reference voltage, a second input responsive to a feedback signal associated with the regulated output, and an output at which a control voltage is provided and further includes a pass element controlled by the control voltage and coupled to a node which the regulated output is provided. The diagnostic circuit is responsive to the control voltage and to the reference voltage to generate the diagnostic signal. The regulator may be a voltage regulator or a current regulator and in some embodiments, the diagnostic signal takes the form of a composite signal indicative of whether a voltage regulator and whether a current regulator can maintain regulation.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for a DC-DC converter having input voltage feedforward for reducing the effects of input voltage signal transients. In embodiments, a feedback circuit receives an output voltage and generates a feedback signal and a modulation circuit receives the feedback signal and generates a control signal for a switching element for generating the output voltage, which is boosted from an input voltage. A feedforward module combines a slope compensation signal, the input voltage, and current information for an inductive energy storage element, which forms a boost circuit for generating the output voltage and generates a ramp signal to the modulation circuit. A duty cycle of the control signal is proportional to an impedance compensation input, inversely proportional to the slope compensation and the input voltage, and inversely proportional to the inductor current.

摘要: A monitor circuit for monitoring a level of a first and second regulated source may monitor a voltage level of regulated voltages or a current level of regulated currents. In an embodiment, the monitor circuit includes circuitry responsive to a first regulated voltage and to a second regulated voltage. A first circuit responsive to the first regulated voltage and to the second regulated voltage generates a first error signal indicative of at least one of an overvoltage condition of the first regulated voltage and an undervoltage condition of the second regulated voltage. A second circuit responsive to the first regulated voltage and to the second regulated voltage generates a second error signal indicative of at least one of an undervoltage condition of the first regulated voltage and an overvoltage condition of the second regulated voltage. A method for monitoring the levels of first and second regulated sources is also provided.
